X2 - Kontakt 5 - Multiple Synths

I really feel I've missed the bus on this. No matter how many times or ways I try I just don't get it.

I've tried and tried to load more than one synth on one instance of Kontakt and I just don't get it. Really.

I've tried using this thread by member John as a guide:

http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=2382979

In that thread other posters had no  issues (even tho it's X1 and Kontakt 4). In that thread Jim Roseberry says:

"But I just wanted to mention that Sonar is particularly flexible in the routing of VSTi outputs.
You can set any track to receive any synth output.
Once you're up-to-speed with the routing, you'll appreciate the flexibility."

I just don't get it.

Randy Bowser (who helped me greatly setting up Aria player to do that says:

"Applause to John - Stepping through post #2 should get any newbie up and running.  And Jim's footnote about how slick it is to route any MIDI track to any synth in Sonar is something that will light up like the proverbial Eureka! light bulb, once these basics of MIDI routing in Sonar are grasped."
I just don't get it.

I've found other threads. No dice. NI's website has instructions on how to do this for just about every piece of DAW software except SONAR.

What I'd really like is a template that I could look at because I just don't get it.

Does any kind soul have such a template they could share?

I'd put you in my will.
