track folders everywhere
Track folders replicated in buses track view, and in console view: so I can minimize a bunch of strips real fast Current project: Got twenty tracks I do not need to see. And I do NOT want to hide them. Track folders everywhere would make me way happy.

+1 would add that i would love to see folder faders to control pan and volume of the folder contents as a sub mix.

Uhhhhh I use a bus for that. IOW, a folder is all guitars. All tracks go to a bus. Voila.

This has been discussed before - the problem with that approach (and i use busses all the time) is the fact that in a large project you have to scroll way over to adjust volume and pan on the bus that relates to the folder. If cake allowed interchangeable tracks and buses in console view that sould be one thing. Otherwise it's inconvenient at best. I'm not the first to request this idea - surprised by your resistance honestly. btw this is a feature request -

It is possible to effectively introduce a bus in the track area by using a plug-in with a sidechain monitor, see http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3050940. This is a feature request area but there have been several instances where solutions to requests have been suggested using existing tech. The solutions may be useful while waiting for the new feature to be implemented.

Thanks. I followed the original thread when it occurred and generally agree that outlining alternative solutions is great, and may help users in unanticipated ways. In a feature request thread however, in my opinion, it runs the risk of dilluting the intent of the request and what is being requested. So i am just trying to keep the request visible - as mentioned it has been requested before, including in the thread you linked to. thanks

Brando surprised by your resistance honestly.
I'm not resistant, just offering an alternative in case you or other have not thought of it.

Maybe combine this idea with Nested folders idea that is already up? Folder's can go anywhere... bus or track and also within other folders?
