Well, by uninstalling and reinstaling several times I've got everything but the Linear Phase EQ working in both standalone and plugin modes. But no matter what I've tried (uninstalling, reinstalling, rebooting, redownloading...etc....) the Linear Phase EQ keeps saying I need to authorize it but then when I click through that dialog says it IS ALREADY authorized...BUT THEN...only runs in demo mode which causes noise bursts every 20 seconds. But at least I'm down to one plug to fix:-)

FWIW, on my new 64bit builds I had no problems with authorizations on the 64bit versions or the old 32bit T-Racks baseline product. So when the T-Racks 1.x verison is 64bitized I will uninstall it before I install the new 64bit versions. Ditto with all the Amplitubes, Sample Tank, SampleMoog, Sonik Synth and Miroslav.

Ditto with all the Amplitubes, Sample Tank, SampleMoog, Sonik Synth and Miroslav. i agree. since i'm running sonar x1 x64, i do not wish to run any 32 bit software if i dont have to, so i uninstalled the t-racks 3.0 singles that i have before i installed the 3.5 updated versions. seemed to go pretty smooth i guess. the first one took about 20 minutes, the next two just a couple minutes each. i aim to avoid bit/j bridge where ever i can. it seems to be the source (or maybe it's the 32 bit plugins they are bridging) of alll the pops and clicks when that occurs. i could not use the t-racks plugins when they were 32 bit, the pops and clicks were unbearable. i had to wait until the update was released, now, they're all working just fine. i intend to do the same with miroslav as well. it's funny though, 32 bit soft synths don't seem to be as problematic as effect/dynamics plugins. not sure why.

If you'll read my above posts you'll see that at first I had problems with TRacks S3.5 std, Classic Clipper, Classic Comp, Classic EQ and Linear Phase. All the others were good. This was possibly due to me NOT uninstalling my 32 bit versions until AFTER all the 64 bits were installed...even tho I was installing all the new 64 bit stuff into totally new folders. Now, after much uninstalling and reinstalling, only Linear Phase is still not working right. If I instantiate it...it brings up the dialog saying I need to authorize it (although it has already been authorized seemingly without a hitch). When I click through that dialog I get another that says Linear Phase IS ALREADY AUTHORIZED and that it's serial number is "Linear Phase EQ". When I click through that the Linear Phase does run...but only in demo mode causing noise bursts every 15 or so seconds. And, YES, I did start a suppot ticket:-)

I did not uninstall mine. I let them go to the default locations except the 64bit went into Cakewalk's VST folder and into a TRacks folder I created inside of that. I forgot I installed the previous S3 plugs in Cakewalk's x86 folder so I just deleted those. The 3.5 x86 went into the Steinburg folder. No issues. Also, I don't get that VPA host thingy when scanning vsts.

(I have my X1 x64 plugin manager set up to scan both my 32bit and my 64bit VST plugin folders.) I did not uninstall the 32bit versions. I chose to exclude the 32bit versions in the plugin manager so they don't show up in my Audio FX insertion menu. In any case, it might be worthwhile to verify which version of the plugin (32bit or 64bit) you are actually inserting.

I have not heard either of the new IK offerings but my initial reaction, believe it or not, was I really don't need these. And, IMHO, neither do you. Here's why. Even if they are spot on emulations...you already have spot on emulations. They are, after all, a compressor and an EQ. How many of those do I (or you) already have which work quite well? But if I heard them in a head to head comparo to the UA models and they kicked their rusty butts...then maybe...but probably still not. But, if a fella or gal was just startin out on the VST purchase road I'd say go buy Pro C, Pro L, Pro Q and Pro G from Fabfilter...then buy TRacks 3 deluxe...then buy SoundToys Native...then sit back and smell the roses and make some top shelf mixes. HTH, ol pal.
