very ****ed behaviour ! When splitting !!!

If you split some audio at exactly the grid point like bar or half bar ------sonar will make sometimes a absolute non visible sometimes only 1 sample cut which is on the project ......how ****ed ??? If  I cut one bar of audio , I dont want no 1 sample snipplet somewhere at the end .-...this is maybe THE reason why I go back to cubase ...realy --its ULTRA ****ed ---and I can not find an explanation for it ! Its just NOT accurate .-...one has to constantly check if maybe not one hit got cut away or so .....hahaha

very annoying behaviour !!!!!!!!!!

Your post is more annoying than Sonar's behavior ... it sounds to me like you need to study up on how to use the split tool, as I (and I'm sure others) can get it to split where I want it to every time.  User error, or Sonar behavior?  Anyone else care to chime in?

All of my splits are made exactly where I tell Sonar to split it.

If you've done this and you have wanted audio split into 2 sections then this is indicative of a problem with your tracking, not Sonar.

And your post is in violation of the TOS, please clean up your act before posting again.

You sure manage to find some weird problems, Heroics. And remember the last time you came onto the forum guns blazing like this? After you clarified what exactly was going on you got the solutions you needed and was happy as a clam afterward. I'm sure this will turn out to be a similar situation. Turn down the angry swearing and hyperbole and just explain your problems when things go wrong. You are more likely to get help that way.

I wrote ....Reeee -tarded ...it ACTUALY describes the behaviour very ,very well.

so 4 beginners out there .......whos swearing ? Where ,and why ?

Back to the issue at hand ...
Im a sonar user since 7 .
For some unexplainable reason , I noticed that when I zoomed in , in the clips I noticed ,some of the clips not beeing cut exactly at the 0 point ......... and if I arrange those clips , and zoom in again ,they would always not be on "zero" ,exactly on the grid ......some samples ,but still. Then sometimes now in X2 the added samples would then someway in minute 4-5 of the arrangement , start to be outa place ------example given , the kick would just be gone on the very first beat of the clip further on in the arrangement .....so for now , I actualy have to zoom in all the way , before EVERY single movement which I make with my clips .....hm...................its realy rather annoying .....it must be a setting ..

much funs !

happy times

Another poster who is rude, and ignores when people tell him what's causing the behavior, in this case ignorance rather than Sonar.

I too, wish you'd go back to Cubase.  And learn some manners.  Why would anyone want to help you when you're so offensive?

I don't think he's a genuine troll. He had some issue a while back and pulled this nonsense. Despite his poor behavior some people drew some more details out of him and solved his problem. After that he was all thank yous and Mr. Happy. He even posted his results and was singing the praises of Sonar. Now he's run into what seems to be a very minor issue which is clearly a lack of understanding about the program and doing it again.

He also thinks he's clever by implying that the filtered word wasn't a swear but the word he's saying he is used isn't a filtered word and doesn't even match up to the letter count... AND the word is MORE offensive in many ways than the swear.

But whatevs... it's good for the lulz.

It takes all kinds to make the world go around. Most of the time musicians are fairly mellow. Music is the healing force of the universe - Albert Ayler. Back when X1 was released a lot of people I have the highest regard for got very ruffled and began throwing poop in the sandbox. It happens.

I've seen some of those posts when the old threads get dredged up to the surface. As heated as they might have been they were usually pointing to some valid and frustrating issues. I'm certainly glad I missed out on the X1 growing pains.

This however is a guy throwing a tantrum and attacking forum members in the most ridiculous way. Just watch when he comes back.

BTW... it does sound like he just doesn't know how to use the snap settings. lol

I agree that he just didn't seem to understand that snap at zero idea.  If he had been less offensive to other forum members, I would have posted the answer, but instead I posted the RTFM.  I've never said that before, it was in reaction to his attitude.
