clintmartin A great EQ with mid-side is a nice thing to add. Sonar doesn't have one yet. (The new one coming this year may have mid-side IDK).
TDR Nova has that functionality. And I agree, updating Pro Channel modules with M/S processing like this: would be a huge step up.

I'm a big fan of TDR. I have the GE editions of SlickEQ and Kotelnikov. I have the free version of Nova. Excellent plugins.

No EQ makes M/S easier than Pro-Q2, which lets you mix 'n match Mid, Side, Left, Right and Stereo filters any way you like and presents them in an easy-to-understand graphic. Most equalizers (e.g. Ozone's otherwise excellent EQ) make you look at separate Mid, Side and Stereo views so that you can't overlay them for comparison. The only real competition for Pro-Q (AFAIK) is DMG Audio's Equilibrium, which has many more features but isn't as quick and easy to use.
All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to. My Stuff

I don't have a single vocal track that doesn't have Waves Renaissance Vox on it. I also use it on instrument tracks thst are very uneven as well. It pretty much does just one job, but it does it better than any other plug out there. It evens out multiple takes that are poorly matched in volume and intensity.

Soundwise Limiter #6. I avoided it for a long time because the GUI seemed unfriendly and cluttered. Now it's the main option for a limiter i almost every project.
Does Limiter #6 work on Window 10 64?

hey kenny! no, i'm not ducking, heheh, i just missed it... yes, my sig still has my accurate recording rig stats. the upgrade is soon to come... i've got to handle my hardware first..... i have a custom built DAW by a local guy, so i'm deciding now how far i'm taking the upgrade.. motherboard, hard drive, chipset, ram, etc.... then i'll update my sonar... then update my front end. baby steps, but i've started. but, my last two albums were done on this system, along with 3 other local acts i produced, so it has performed admirably, and should alert folks to the fact that the DAW they use, and recording rig, really does not matter that much.

Bat , you make some real nice sounds I'm cool w you .. I asked you about the SONAR 6 XP thing only because I held out with a similar speck computer I had made for me . I ran SONAR 6 PE on XP up until a little over 2 years ago when I upgraded to X3 ..my 2 Sound cards are a 192 and a 1010lt ...in XP I still had used my XP system up until a year ago . Even though I had X3 on Win 8 ...Between the learning curve since 6 and having to use a USB sound card on a lap top (a 2i4) I felt I was in deep $hit ... that's the only reason I asked ... Only now in the past 6 months have I felt that I was happy I made the upgrade ... I'm feeling good now, but my music still don't sound half as good as your music Peace Man I dig you Kenny

Most used is Old Timer comp by PSP. Great little plug. And I got it at the intro price. What a buy!!

I've heard about this plug for years.. but have never had a chance to demo it.... what i like: WAVES: renaissance comp, renaissance de-esser, renaissance verb, C1, Linear phase eq, Linear phase multiband, L1, L2, supertap. if i can find plugs that sound and act SIMILAR, but use less CPU and ram, that's what i'd like.

Exactly. I was current on the Slate plugs when I was on Win7 and the iLok dongle worked, more or less; well, OK, mostly less. I managed to move my Slate licenses off the dongle and am waiting (not patiently, but certainly not holding my breath) for them to support computer authorization (which works great for me (UVI, Eventide, Softube so far)). Come on Steven! Some of us are on PCs! Side note: The v3.0.0 update notes for the iLok License Manager mentioned something about no longer installing legacy dongle support. Maybe it'll run better (heck, at all!) now under Win10. I'm just really gun shy about trusting that dongle again. Kinda like a relationship. She cheated on me once; I never trusted her again. Way it goes.

It's not fancy, really, but it's a fantastic and affordable EQ: http://ddmf.eu/iieqpro-equalizer-plugin/ I own FF's Pro Q2 and yeah, that's more transparent, no question, but the IIEQPro has an exacting quality, a very cutting filter, and it doesn't destroy your CPU.
