I like the whole "defending himself" supposition. The dude is a total tool and refuses to hear an overwhelming majority telling him to tone it down. His response is that he's an agent of truth and justice and we're all just Cake fanbois attacking him, which is total malarkey.

As such, those are not defenses, they are verification of his stubborn inability to show he can participate in a rational, civil discussion. Which is why he's one of the troublemakers who I think should've been shown the door a long time ago. Let him play martyr on some other forum.
Although 10Ten can be a pain, he doesn't attack people AFAIK. Something that can't be said of you.

Here is a suggestion: Stick to discussing Sonar rather than the forum members.

Sorry, but I have never made that argument. The rest of your post is just the kind of post that no moderation breeds.

An overwhelming majority? Interesting perception of reality. I´d rather say an overwhelming majority has problems with X1 and is more or less unhappy about several aspects of this release. There are many content users and many who don´t mind openly swearing about it, I guess both is ok, it´s just software, but a fat company is making money from us, so they owe the users a lot. I also don´t see why you are defending rather a company than your fellow users, but who knows what your motivation is.

Oh my,  we´ll all be on wicked´s list of who should be banned. Hope he does not send it to Cakewalk. Those platinum members have a lot of influence, you know.  ;)

Who knows, certainly asking him to tone down his rhetoric hasn't helped any. It's only gotten us all labelled as "Roland loyalists" who are squashing his truthful voice of rebellion.

I don't see the need to remain eye-rolley about it. If he's acting like a tool and making forum relations with the Bakers tense I don't see a reason to not call it out.

So it has been calleth'd. Oooh, such a terrible tragedy of human rights and liberties. Someone call the ACLU and get a march going.

If he ever wants to play nice and act civil I'm quite certain he'll find a whole forum of folks willing to engage in healthy discourse, and yes that discourse can even involve consternation and negative feelings about Cakewalk. Yay freedom.

Otherwise my initial statement is what I'm still seeing: 10Ten, Crush, and Supercomposer are folks who continuously cause problems and make unsupported hate claims on the forum to the detriment of healthy discussion. If it were up to me alone I would've banned them a long time ago. That's my opinion and tough if it makes them cry.

The rest is just good television.

I think the more important question, is once we pick a side what else do we get?

Question is wether X1b will fix the ugliest errors and make everyone more or less a happy camper. The downside:
if they fail to fix X1, I am pretty sure no one will be offered a refund or an apology. So, all we have is... HOPE ?

Yes, I'm quite sure that if X1B isn't the greatest thing since sliced bread (or at least fix most of the problems) then a lot of people will hold their noses and look around.

Well, I certainly hope that's the case. I would love to see everyone happy and functional. Seeing his banned thread on the Reaper forums I'm a bit skeptical, but I'd loved to be proved wrong.

And yeah to what someone said above, if X1b is broken or fails to live up to hype (which increases the longer it takes to come out) then I fear all holy hell is gonna break out on here. Sheesh I'll prolly be one of the torch carriers. I'm getting pretty sick of these damned lasso bugs to say the least.
