Uh oh... Here we go again! 

I looked up PROMO but I still don't know what that means

I knew there was too many samples!

but what is is using an instrument (EZPlayer) to create the rhythm I Am going to actually record myself cuz by doing myself I get a more musical song in the long run thing, IHMO .  besides,
I love the process 
ex. spending a couple of days using and playing an upright bass 
then a couple doing rhythms with Jazz brushes in AD2 etc.
 

one more thing is that it really helps if you know all the parts in your head before you record. Then recording is much faster and flows better too,IMHO. It just plain fun yeah!
