I like mojo, YMMV.

Or if you really want the real thing on the individual horns/reed instruments?

Your mileage will not vary with Sample modeling... It will be consistent? And good...  Sample modeling "rocks hard." These guys are freaking brilliant. Their stuff is not cheap? But neither is their sound...

That sounds like a million bucks Frank.  Really good.  Really nice guitar playing and the overall production is top notch.  I think you do a great job mixing the horns and arranging them.  The only thing is that the horns don't match up with all the other tracks.  They sound a little synthetic.  That wouldn't be bad, but your other tracks are so authentic - you need a real horn player to come in and play those parts.  However, I may not have even noticed if you hadn't mentioned you thought about scrapping the horns.
Thankyou Geno... I agree about the brass sound... I know some great horn players, but they're all scattered all over the place right now...
I may look into Robby's suggestion of "Mojo Horn Section"

The trombones are really good too. I have Mr. Sax T and recommend it "VERY" highly. I used it on Just a lie. It sounds like a sax player. But you have a sax player :-) People w/good ears (lots of them here) definitely hear (and comment on) "synthy/midi" sounding tracks. So when we're using strings, or woodwinds, horns/reeds, etc... It's always best to try to get as realistic a sound as possible (considering the cost of course.) For most, their synth will do, or a lower level plug. But there are options for people who are looking to kick it up a notch as Emeril would say... BAM!

My music isn't that horny, but my endocrinologist is about to get me on a testo supplement, so WHO KNOWS!

Your music is already pretty horny? Not all of it, but no small amount of it contains "lush" horn and sax arrangements.  And speaking of Lush? Let me get back to my self destruction.
