joking apart, manatee really do rule - I saw them in the wild on the Weeki Wachee river in Florida and they are SO friendly. Unfortunately, they are too friendly and they are known for getting too close to boats and getting hurt. 

I've never seen manatees in the wild, but I don't go on boats very often.
 
but I have seen several manatess rescued in various places.  Sea World in Orlando, Xcaret in Mexico...
 
they're pretty cool aminals...

they are amazing Beags - weird, almost prehistoric looking and HUGE.

BTW, it was weird today. Woke up, opened the blinds to see the last morning of the world and about 30 little birds were on the lawn, more in the trees and the street.

Is that the first sign of the plague?

My last breakfast before the end of the Mayan Calendar was gud. 2 Eggs, Cinnamon Raisin Bagel, 2 slices of becan. Mmmmmmmmm. 

My dinner before the end of the world was rather splendid..homemade pea and ham soup, chicken and melted cheese baguette, washed down with a pint of McEwans Champion Ale. Bring it on.

I'm beginning to think the Mayans only predicted the end of a week, not the world.

I'm gonna be pi$$ed if the world does end because I just re-WUPped my Waves Mercury license.
