It was a cold, dark, and rainy night. The rain rapped on the windows like an angry neighbor with a plumbing problem. Jack Lawson sat in his lazy boy watching reruns of All In The Family. The phone rang, the phone rang again, the old style desktop telephone rang, and rang, and rang. Jack did not answer the phone. As the rain continued to rain, and ringing continued to ring, Jack Lawson continued to sit, watching reruns of All In The Family. Suddenly there was a knock at the door.
