Someone once said "Bring Back Phuket Ling Ling". Well, that may have been me, but at the constant request of myself, I felt it necessary to comply.

Ling Ling come back and give us your review of Sonar 8.5.  I heard one of the babes on the forum was actually a dude and I am feeling a bit sick right now.  I need you.

Help me Ling Ling, you're my only hope.

She probably won't come back, but it's an interesting story. She tried to do the MP3 thing at the wedding, which was (as you might have suspected) a disaster. One of the guests, Russell Zheng, had an iPod and a huuuuuge car stereo. He extracted the MP3s from her hard drive, created a playlist, opened the car doors, turned up the volume, and basically saved the wedding. To say she was grateful would be an understatement.

They dated for several years, got engaged in 2012, and married in 2013. Here's a video that shows her and Russell in Phuket. Last time she PMed me, she was considering getting back into music again. She asked what I thought was the best all-in-one recorder because she wanted something more portable than a DAW.

The first 3 books in "The Musician's Guide to Home Recording" series are available from Hal Leonard and http://www.reverb.com. Listen to my music on http://www.YouTube.com/thecraiganderton, and visit http://www.craiganderton.com. Thanks!

When her sister couldn't sing because of the distorting speaker, she went off in a huff shouting, "Oh Phuket Lingling it's completely useless!"

Splat, Win 10 64bit and all sorts of musical odds and sods collected over the years, but still missing a lot of my old analogue stuff I sold off years ago.

This was 10 minutes I'll never get back. But then again I'm retired/disabled and spend most of my time using sonah as a karreeOkee masheen.  So phucket!   And I AM a good boy, at least that's what my mudder used to tell me.

I can say she had a really strong impact on this forum. She is hard to forget. I do wish her luck. I don't think she was a troll. There was an older post that had a similar impact but in a very different way. It was about 20 to 40% better sound in another DAW. That phrase became a long standing joke for many years after.

We tend to not get a lot of strange posts here. So when they do happen it tends to cause a bit of activity. Its harmless fun for most. It breaks the monotony of answering questions day in and day out.

Since the OP was here for all of 3 days, the "trolling" by the forumites is more comedic to me. Phuket province is significant tourist island in Thailand and was pretty badly hit during the typhoon of 2004, so there is no reason to assume that someone from Thailand trying to type English is trolling.

ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero (Wi-Fi AC), i7-8700k, 16GB RAM, GTX-1070Ti, Win 10 Pro, Saffire PRO 24 DSP, A-300 PRO, plus numerous gadgets and gizmos that make or manipulate sound in some way.
