Cakewalk By BandLab vs SONAR Versions Comparison Chart [4/28/2018]
Hi everyone, sorry for the delay in getting this to you. Please see the following link for a comparison chart (in the format of what we have online on the Cakewalk SONAR Versions page): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1AwrivrPMMqFyAnbRfV03U2ki00VwOJNHeFXolbyyzKA/edit?usp=sharing Please note that this is as of the Early Access release that happened two weeks ago and things that are to be added in the next version are not on the chart! Also, there were bug fixes, other small new features and improved Windows 10 compatibility. Hope this is helpful for everyone who has been asking.

This is So Appropriate at this stage.............thanks Meng and Team for dealing clearly with this topical issue. As a Side Note..( If I May).......For Me........I have been using CB in lieu of SPLAT for some weeks now and... NO Crashing! :) This must be a sign that the ship's engineers have installed a new rudder. One can safely assume someone has recently been checking the old SONAR crash reports of recent months. SWEeeeet!!

a great start! but it does omit things like the pow-r dither options - things that might not be as obvious as, for example, drum replacer can anyone confirm if the izotope time-strech stuff is still present?

We don't mention internal only stuff like dither options in our comp chart. If we did it would be 10000 pages long. All the izotope stuff was re-licensed so it is in the CbB early access release itself. POWr is still under review but there is a good chance it will be back.

In the comparison chart I see TL-64 Tube Leveler, PX-64 Percussion Strip and VX-64 Vocal Strip are not included in CbB. They weren't included with Sonar Professional, so upgrading to CbB they showed up. I enabled them and they work.

Outstanding! Thanks!! Where does the "X" series fall within this (if it does), "Professional"? <-- I'm a mess, see? -d
Win-7 Professionalx64. CWBL, SONAR X3e, & most other previous versions. TASCAM US-1800 audio interface. A bunch of outboard stuff that never gets used anymore (ADAT boat anchors, smoooth LA4 comps (miss them!), etc.) Way too many instruments.

Nice. The only problem is that CbB is at the far end of the columns, and it is almost impossible to easily track back to what is missing. Start the columns w/ CbB and then it becomes apparent what is included and not without having to drag the screen from one side of the chart to the other side. That is what we need to see, not what SONAR Artist is missing. I'm working w/ a small screen here.

I agree - given its purpose, having CbB at far left makes sense. Perhaps a mirror image of what it is now.
