Jonbouy so I can enjoy my coffee and danish. Danish what (or whom)?... :) A couple weekends ago I got a cup of coffee and this pastry thingy I never had before. It was a heavy Bavarian Creme filled donut. The donut was light and flaky and had a very thick layer of sweet butter creamcheese topping. OH MY GOD. I made an adult oriented comment to my wife, something to the effect that it was better than any activity we could do as a couple in our own home any day.

I appreciate the positive support but this question was not about me or each of you alone. It is instead about this public forum run by Cakewalk. I thought we were all supposed to abide by those rules. Whatever you do in your own environment is your business not mine. Whatever you do here is your business - not mine. I can only express my feelings which I have done. I asked if we could make this family friendly. I quoted the TOS. I did not comment on specific events. If you don't think there are topics/comments here that could bother others, then I am way off base. If you don't think at all, maybe this topic could help. If you totally disagree, there's nothing anyone can do about that anyway. I don't want to fight this issue - I've too many years under my belt for that. I have been around long enough to think you would know where I was coming from. No finger pointing or moral standards being thrown at you. Just a question about using plain old courtesy to others viewing our threads. Best. Rimshot

I kind of understand the OP in principle just cant see what is requested in practice. I haven't witnessed anything that I believe goes too far plus I can think of better sub forums to peruse with any children other than this silly place, don't muck it up by applying rules or you ruin the spirit. Those with self control disregard what I said.

It is instead about this public forum run by Cakewalk. I thought we were all supposed to abide by those rules. Indeed, like I said we all read and agreed to that. Make a complaint to the hosts if you feel somebody is in violation as I suggested. That way you don't polarise opinion into an emotional debate.

Nice to see all of the gasbags are fully inflated tonight. I thought hot air was supposed to elevate things, but here it seems to make things sink. The CH defies the laws of physics and that is worth a post.

Maybe I haven't given our Rimshot a fair deal here there could be all sorts of TOS violations that I ain't seeing just now.

Snide!!! grow up Ben-just because your political bent derides the Far Right doesn`t mean it`s a derogatory term-it`s as valid and acceptable as the Far Left, especially in the US where religion, politics and censorship, especially at this time are polarising society. unfortunately i am uneducated and have no degrees and i referred to the Far Right in laymen`s terms-my bad and i apologise for that and will contain my replies to my field of expertise. once again though-which definition of snide did you choose: Tricky; deceptive; false; spurious; contemptible. i`ll settle for spurious.

Contemptable, tricky and supurious. Hey the calling of anybody's opinon far right even in this country which puts you in Bob Katters theme park and Barnaby Joyce's land is not nice and to say on the one hand I agree to his opinion but then to say your opinion belongs with the two examples I've given here in Oz, in the US we could say Newt Gingrich or Ron Santorium is what I call snide. You can't claim that your a layman to what the far right is, as I mentioned we have some very scary far right politicians in this country, do you remember s scandel were there was this religious group, that borded on being a cult and I think it got cult status and it had ties to either Peter Costello or John Howard, how far right is that?? hey Ben-i just looked up the Far Right and it`s way more extreme than i thought it was and once again,my apologies to Rimshot-i had no intention of implying his opinion belonged there-i was obviously uninformed and too eager to defend his right to his opinion and appear to have outsmarted myself. that`s what you get when you try to mix with the big boys i suppose. i have also violated the TOS by referring to politics. if i`m to be banned for this,so be it and i may as well go out in style: Oh and actually I don't have a political bent, I don't vote and am not enrolled to vote. we have one of the highest voting rates in the world and if you think voting for local government, state government and federal government and therefore, hopefully, having a say in your future is futile and pointless then i respect your right to form and express that opinion.

It's all good, you see I may be the biggest ass (there you go daryl) on this forum but I also go into bat for people and I tend to be the bat. You won't get banned, I mean I say much, much worse stuff than you. The political stuff is all about the quality of candidate and because I have first hand knowledge by way of university politics and one Gordon Bilney, who I had many dinners with and even a christmas or two, have made it my choice not to vote. How could I?, these people are truly the worst of the worst in our society, if I voted I would be saying I agree with this party or persons political bent and I don't. I mean in this country, we have J.Howard, a rouge power hungry scoundral, Julia Gillard, or half of what I say is meaningless but I say it just to reach you. Have you watched question time best hour's worth of TV, but disgusting. Then there is this whole Slipper afair and Thompson. The Greens are down right scary because they just don't understand global economics and international diplomacy. And look what the parliment did to their brightest star KRudd, he was mad, barking mad but you have to be to have vision. So I hope you get my point Webbs Hill Studio, sorry Idon't know your name. Rimshot I appreciate the positive support but this question was not about me or each of you alone. Best. Rimshot I am 100% in agreement with you. So are many others who do not voice their support publicly. What you ask is both reasonable and responsible. Do not let the passive aggressive types make you feel bad. They are wrong, you are right.

This is scary Bub has a point, how we combat that and make a fairer socity is beyond us all. I mean I if I really wanted to could sit on my ass (there you go again daryl) for the rest of my life and live on income support, I don't want to do this and I'm about to start my third degree to combat the isolation and boredom and hopefully there is somewhere in the world where I can do my bit and make a difference. I'm one of the lucky ones and I am a liberal just like bub is complaing about. What bub has missed is where else do I fit into the scheme of things, of course I am just one type of liberal: The far too educated to fit into normal socity and do a normal job. Just look at the disruption I cause around here, imagine me in the workplace, then there is the far too rich liberal and I am sure they're are a few other types we could name. But how do we make it fairer??? Then there is also this thing called choice, Bub, I don't know if you have any children but if you have a missus and or children a morgatge and the like then it's hard to be a liberal because you and many others like you have chosen to fit in. This means workng for a living. See we have choice. Of course The USA is slighty different because income support only lasts for a short period of time where in more liberal democracy's such as OZ, we can be on it for ever. See bub, this issue is beyond difficult but and this is even scarier, the world is automating, what once a man did now a machine or computer does, what happens next?? You might be forced to become a liberal. I feel for bub hence this rambling response but I have no answers, well actually I do but it requires a major restructuring of socity and another technological boom, which will happen over the next 50 years. Bub I would never let my kids roam around the internet unsupervised. I'm kind of shocked that a parent would let their kids read or participate in a forum not designated as being child friendly. In my opinion it's very irresponsible of the parent. There are sites out there that are clearly designated 'family friendly', this is not one of them. So please, take your screaming brat out of the Coffee House so I can enjoy my coffee and danish. Bub, I have tried to be careful to not upset anyone about this question. I don't let my son roam the internet unsupervised. I did not know this site was clearly not child friendly so I asked the question to everyone. Why in the world would it not be based on the TOS? My son is not a screaming brat and those words are harsh and abusive and completly uncalled for. Please don't bother to respond, you have said enough. Rimshot

If you listen really closely, perhaps in an altered state (not that I would know about such things mind you), to the very ending chant of "Love you, love you, love you, love you ..." while George is jamming, at the end of Abby Road, you can just barely hear that Paul sounds like a chipmunk. They must have slowed the tape down, had him sing backups, and mixed it in at normal speed, hence making him sound like a chipmunk. Swear ta God.

The Addams Family movie is on. Morticia & Gomez got kicked out of their mansion and lost the family fortune to a Fester imposter. Morticia goes to a temp agency looking for a job. Temp Lady, "College?" Morticia, "Private tutors." Temp Lady, "Major?" Morticia, "Spells and Hexes." Temp Lady chuckles and says, "Ah, Liberal Arts." LOL!!!!!
