Color is everything! COLORS are essential how we perceive sounds!

Color is everything! COLORS are essential how we perceive sounds!

What color you have set in your interface, GUI interface, wallpaper, surroundings do in fact have great impact what you actually hear and what decisions you make during mixing or producing a track. That is how we human work psychology. We greatly use our eyes and response what we actual hear.
A darker GUI interface VS brighter interface will let you use your ears more compare white or grey!

If you don’t believe me try this lab Test.
1.       Listen on music or the mix you working on in SONAR.
2.       Look into bright white color or lamp.
3.       Now listen again looking into your nice wallpaper on your Windows, or dark background.
4.       Do you hear any different between the mixes?
5.       Yes! You did!
If you still claim and say no, that you can’t hear any different between the two times, then you just lie for yourself. All feel that they hear different and there are countless of psychology studies about this-

There are more examples from the real life. All  armature, semi pro, professionals has had at least once the odd experience that they have mixed on channels EQ swearing they can hear the different tuning the different bands settings and then later on realized that they channel you worked on, either wasn’t on or were completely the wrong channel. So what we see is what we hear.

So please once more! Please make all the colors customizable directly from SONAR color Menu!  COLOR and skin it’s very essential and how we perceive sounds!

Thanks again for PANUP SKINS! Without that I would have hard time working with SONAR X1.

I'm going to get some liquor - they say it enhances the effect narcotics.  Perhaps my rose colored glasses as well.

PS - I do want more control over my color choices, but this is not the reason why.

Gotta be some truth to this. Why would many who listen to classical music, particularly lower volume intricate piece close their eyes? Would it not enhance their perception to some degree?

    Freddie,

    I'm with ya babe.

    101%

    Full custom color options.
We all know it is possible. Cakewalk has deprecated SONAR's ability to adjust for visual impairment... let's get back to the standard of flexibility we have enjoyed in all other versions of SONAR.

    it really matters.

    Thanks Freddie!!!

    best regards,
    mike

My console view has to be a shade of purple. True story.

Does it make me a great musician/producer? Well, I've never had a hit record, or any record and I never will. You decide.

If I get full color customization I'm going to turn my screen completely blue with white letters.

Oh wait, Microsoft already does that for me on occasion.

Or maybe I'll go for the white on white settings and guess what it is I'm doing - I imagine it will force me to listen more.

The Beatles White album, according to Wiki, was so called because George Martin had painted his mixing desk with white emulsion to get a different type of sound. Back in Black was recorded on it too in later years after the paint had been removed.

I think Sonar sounds more Blue than ProTools - Studio One  is much more Mauve to me. I thinks thats why it's better for Motown - it's a color thing.
