Hi guys - quick question about Studio Instruments please.

I have Cubase LE that came with a mixer, and I intend to upgrade to Cubase 4 (I've asked Santa for it), but am considering STUDIO INSTRUMENTS as a stopgap.
1. Will it work with Cubase LE?
2. Will it work with Vista?
3. Can I just use it as a VST, so it plays the MIDI parts of my songs - I don't want to use loops, and I have a load of songs with the drum, bass and string patterms already programmed.

Thanks

I would also like to know if we can route each drum to a different track ala SessionDrummer. That would help immensely.

No you can't? Since the SI drums have indivdual controls such as pan, volume, then you can compress as a whole.. if something doesn't sound right can just open up SI again and then adjust.. Yes it would be nice to route seperately..

Well wait a minute, you probably could since you can control each note number.. In Sonar just call up another Midi track but have the same SI drums so Midi trk 1 would be kick, Midi trk 2 snare and etc... however this method would be building a track one by one not seperately routing or spliting the track.. so please refer back to the first paragraph. I'm sorry no that is not possible..

I haven't experienced any note sticking.. have you tried adjusting your latency? or switching your Midi timing adjustments?

What DAW do you use? It happens in Cubase 4,other users and Cakewalk are in principle also confirmed this but no hotfix so far, as there was for Dimension Pro

Hi I'm getting sticking notes in Cubase Essential 4...is there a fix for this yet please?

Check to make sure your Midi note Off message is turned on either in your Midi controller or in Cubase Essential 4

I'm not sure with Cubase, but check your options or midi options or search for it in the help manual, and it should appear? What type of Midi controller are you using? Did it come with a editor software?

Hi, no ideas, it just does not work. Lets make some huge noise together, maybe then there will be an update. Current version is STILL 1.0. Hey cakey-waalky-waalky wake up!

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for contacting Cakewalk Technical Support.

We are aware of the issue and have it logged within our bug tracking
database. The issue will be addressed in a future patch/edition of
Studio Instruments.

Thank you for your patience. In the meantime Studio Instruments
should not exhibit stuck notes within other hosts or via the
standalone applications.

I don't know about anyone else, but I aint buying anything else from Cakewalk until this is fixed.

In other words they told: buy a Sonar.

RIDICULOUS attitude by Cakewalk

I'm looking for some more VSTs but i'll skip Cakewalk this time.

I purchased CWHS7XL, which includes Studio Instruments. After installing Home Studio, I then installed the XL pack, which included the Studio Instruments. My question is, I can't seem to find out how/if I can run Studio Instruments as a stand alone. I don't see any icons on the desktop or anywhere else within my computer. Did I do something wrong with the installation. It looks like it installed correctly, since there is a folder containing the readme file and several others, but no exe file.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Dave
