How do I know my PC is ASIO compatible and do I need it?
Just wondering if a Dell 2.2 GHz Duo Core Processor with 500g and 2075 Ram with RealTek High Def sound card?

The ASIO drivers relate only to your soundcard, not the PC.
I believe that there are only WDM drivers available for the realtek high def soundcards - there is a universal ASIO for WDM driver (ASIO4ALL), available here:
http://www.asio4all.com/
but I can't comment on that as I've always used the ASIO drivers which come with my soundcard. Worth a try though if you're having latency issues (WDM drivers are typically not as low latency as ASIO ones).
