Kalle, LE has Groove Clip looping.

So, what you are saying is to insert the soft synth (Session Drummer 2) and hit record on the MIDI channel and tap out a beat with the MIDI keys? I don't think I can keep time that well. Ha. Will the notes snap to the grid?

You'll want to check the on-line help for "input quantizing" if you don't think you can hit the keys in time. Input quantizing/quantization will snap the notes you hit to where SONAR thinks they should go, based upon your quantization settings.

You might want to try recording without it first, because it can confuse you if you're not sure how it works and if you leave it "on" while doing other tracks.

You can always slow down the tempo to where you think you can play in time and still use SONAR's quantization to fix minor timing errors. You don't have to use "input quantizing", though.

Well, I thought it would be better to bump this than start a new thread with the same mic issues. I finally got back around to trying this program again. Everything is working properly... I'm even getting decent at programing drum beats, despite not being a drummer.

Anyway, my issue now is that the USB mic is just not loud enough when recording. I have the Input Echo on and it is low and a bit distorted. Not clean. I had to switch from the ASIO4ALL to MME just to get the mic to work. I've turned the input up on my computer.

I'm not trying to do anything fancy. Basically, I'm just using this to record demos and song ideas. Right now I am just miking a practice amp and playing bass. I'm not blasting the bass. The drums are programmed, but I can't get a decent signal from the mic... even talking into it.

Any ideas? I know my computer isn't the best (Windows 7, 32-bit, cheap sound card), but I remember setting up the mic before and it was super loud.

You might want to start a new thread about this issue because this thread is five months old and had nothing to do with your USB mic.

In the meantime, try to remember what's changed on your system since you last used the mic successfully. You might also want to un-install any drivers you have for it (from within Device Manager, if you have no other way of doing that), and then remove the USB mic from Device Manager, too. Download the latest drivers from the manufacturer's Website, and after you reboot, re-install the mic. Resetting the mic this way can get it back to the way it works by default, assuming you didn't just boost the input in the control panel app after you installed it the first time.

Hope that helps!
