Ya, I don't have enough time to read through entire threads that are 60 posts long, so no, I haven't read every single post in this thread.

As for changing the title, I explained myself very well in my first response here as to my thoughts on that. I'm sorry if you don't understand.

If you insert any 3rd party stereo VST on a surround buss, it starts off playing fine, but then develops a kind of echo as time goes on, getting worse and worse. I'm pretty sure I filed a bug report, I'll double check...I have discussed this with one or two other forum members who were experiencing the same behaviour, so hopefully you'll be able to reproduce the problem.

I just tried this with a random 3'rd party VST and didn't notice any obvious problems. Can you specify which plugin you testing this with? I also tried it with our own VST's - TubeLeveller, LP64 EQ etc and didn't see any such anomalies.
Also are you running the 64 bit version of SONAR with a 32 bit VST?
Keep in mind with bitbridged plugins to get at the surround bridge UI you have to hold down shift while opening the plugin to get at the surround bridge UI.

Hi Noel, sorry it's taken a while to respond - fussy clients staying way too long yesterday

I remember being baffled by this when I first encountered the problem, because ALL of the bundled plugins work great, but when I tried Ozone 4, Waves API 2500, Waves L3 UltraMaximizer, and more recently Slate Digital FG-X, I get what sounds to me like some kind of error in delay compensation between channels.

I've had a look and can't find the bug report I thought I'd lodged, so within the next week I'll sit down and put together a neat bug report so you guys can investigate. But like I said, I think it was forum member Tarsier who said he was experiencing the same thing, so I don't think it's just me!

My system specs are:

Sonar X1a (same prob on 8.3.1 and 8.5.3 though)
Windows 7 Pro, 32-bit
i7 920
4GB RAM
x3 WD Cavalier Black HDDs
Gigabyte EX58-DS4

Thanks again.

I'll have three fingers of Glenlivet, with a little bit of pepper... and some cheese.

I'm really interested in what will happen next. I like Sonar. Own version 7. I hope surround will be improved, though I have no problems with the current implementation.

If I buy a Eventide Eclipse, could I use that as a surround reverb using firewire or analog I/O? Would that be usable in surround?

I allso bought the Roland studio Package Pro II with the SI-24 specially for surround. Will an extra Joystick get me the two joystick setup for panning wide & back and forth like possible with the VS700?
