None of the band 'Asia' were in fact born on that continent.
However, their manager Ghenghis Gaddafi did once visit Hong Kong as a student on a cultural exchange trip.
On his return he explained to the guys that if they wanted to rebrand themselves, their world globe did in fact spin on its axis, should all the residual drug paraphernalia be removed, before they stuck a pin in it.
