I could but I'd be lying. It's PC-only just like Z1.

Thanks Brandon.  Too bad for our mac users.  But I look forward to driving it on my PC.

Well, maybe that's not the answer I wanted but getting a response that quickly almost makes up for it.
Thanks Brandon. :)

OK....

So you guys are really pleased that a workable, stable X1c is due to arrive less than ten weeks before you will be expected to shell out another $?? for its replacement X2?

Man, you must love Cakewalk so very much.

Or am I missing something?

Yes... I think you might be missing the point about faith... Many of us would not shell out the money for the next release given the situation.... Paying heed to these items before asking for more cash will give them a much better sales period!

Sonar X1C Coming August 2011! - Fixes - New Features 2011/06/28 13:43:07 (permalink)
SONAR X1c

The summer culminates with even more exciting news. In August we are releasing SONAR X1c, a free update for registered users. We have listened to your feedback and will be enhancing SONAR X1 ever further with fixes and featurettes that build on the outstanding SONAR X1b release.  SONAR X1c will offer superior stability and includes all the fixes in X1a and X1b, all the QuickFix releases, plus a host of new enhancements including a fresh UI overhaul for the Loop Construction View and Step Sequencer 2.0. We will have more information about SONAR X1c in late July.
Following the release of SONAR X1c, Cakewalk will be inviting all SONAR X1 customers to a webinar to get the most out of this release. Stay tuned as we will be soliciting your feedback on what topics you would like to hear about at this event.

EDIT:
Threads merged.
Late to the party as usual.

I submitted a feature request regarding the loop construction view some weeks ago, requesting additional slice controls such as:

Per slice filters
Slice reverse
DSP options per slice

Basically, similar functions to Recycle or Dr Octo Rex in Reason, I hope they made it into this overhaul.

I have also requested editing functions to be linked to matrix view, i.e. right click a loop and select an edit option which will open the PRV for editing midi or the loop construction view for audio.
