Thanks to all who answered the survey...much appreciated!!

We try to offer as much free content as we can but we also have opportunities to partner up with other vendors and offer paid content, so we are trying to see what everyone wants us to focus on moving forward. The results so far have been extremely helpful!

Well, I would have taken it, but I can't get Cakewalk to add me to their email list.  I have contacted customer support many, many times.  Have written to various people and can't get them to add me even though I have been a customer since Pro Audio 7.

bramwell, you just may be the longest lasting forum member i have seen,2003?,thats cool man, only 22 posts?
hey, have you checked your spam filter? i know i sound corney, but it could be getting caught in the spam filter man?

hope it all gets worked out  :)

Hey, Charlie,
I have been around for quite a while.  I come every day and lurk, but am humbled by the knowledge and ability of so many here that I just keep quiet and try to keep learning.   I am a quiet person by nature so I find it easier to just look and learn.
Thank you for the suggestion of the spam filter.  I have checked it.  I usually look at my spam quickly each day and delete it.  So, I would have seen any communication from Cakewalk.  I think it has been at least 5 years since I have gotten any of the offers or emails from Cakewalk.  I have tried to remedy the situation as best I can.  Even wrote a pm to one of the Bakers here.  He wrote back to ask a couple of questions, but when I attempted to reply..his mailbox was full, and has continued to be full each time I have tried to respond.  I usually only know of offers from Cakewalk because of the forums.  People here are always good to get out that kind of information.
Okay, that is a lot of words for me, back to my cubby hole.

Thanks,
Dave.

for anyone that says they don't get the surveys and emails from cakewalk. I been a user since sonar 4 and I regularly received emails until about 2 years ago more or less. I recently registered a product and I have just started to receive emails again. starting with the survey. even if it's an old product try re-registering it. here's the link http://www.cakewalk.com/Register/default.aspx

Good advice, guitarmikeh.  There was a period where I didn't receive emails either, and it just may have been a registration that straightened it out - never really thought about it before.

OK I tried this and got one email (about registering Expanded) immediately. Here's crossing my fingers and hoping for the best.

Thanks for the tip. :)

I took it today.  I forgot to add that I would have liked to have seen some of the old P5 instruments and effects recompiled for 64 bit.

Cakewalk I have a suggestion for improving revenue. It starts with updating the notation editor and bringing back the custom midi tools function from 8.5 (plus the other missing functions... remember those?!?). :P Surprised they didn't mention skins tbh.

+1  Those and the FX series.

And of course 64 bit upgrades to Perfect Space and VC-64 too.

Unfortunately they aren't CW's, so I doubt there's much they can do.

Pristine   Perfect Space I might have reasonable hopes for, as Voxengo is still around.   VC-64 on the other hand might pose a problem as Kjaerhus is no more.
