No Rapture for me either...dern it
Whatever the heck is happening to some folks regarding no full blown rapture after install is happening to moi as well. I've got the serial and reg numbers in my account but no download link. But only LE shows up after scanning just like always. I hardly ever use it so no biggie...but...it would be nice to have should I need it. I'm sure ol Ryan or somebody will have it figured before long.

If I recall corectly it was the last thing to be installed from 02 parts 1 thru 4 and asks for a serial number before installation.

ol pal, Did you let X2 do the installing or did you do a custom? Have you tried to go back in and get her? Brian

See the Rapture post at http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=2667101&mpage=4. Ryan from Cakewalk is working on this and has gotten to the bottom of what's happening, but, as of late yesterday night, needed to get someone else from Cakewalk to look into a fix, but it was Saturday night in Boston... The gist of the issue is that whether it installs for you or not depends on what version of Dimension Pro you had installed prior to the X2 Producer installation (for some reason the Rapture installer is checking for prior versions of Dimension rather than prior versions of Rapture). Late in the thread at the link, lorneyb2 posted a workaround for installing Rapture that someone marked as being helpful (so it will stand out when you scan the page). That fix didn't work as is for me, but I posted some additional notes about 8 posts down from there with the additional things I did to get it to work for me. While we both did it with a separate Rapture installer that was posted yesterday (it isn't there anymore as it didn't solve the problem by itself), it should also work by using the X2 Producer installer and just selecting Rapture as what to install. The catch, though, is that you have to be willing to do a bit of registry hacking to get it to work, renaming one or two keys before the Rapture installation then renaming them back to their old names afterward. (Basically the workaround tricks the Rapture installer into thinking you don't have Dimension Pro on your system.) Rick

Yup, I tried just going back as the fellers suggested and only installing Rapture. Looked like it was going to work. But at the very end I got the "a previous version of Dim Pro is detected...go to Cake for an update" thingy. No Rapture still. Hope they get it sussed.

I feel your pain Ol' Pal. You have exactly the same problem I have. I wish I was online when they posted the download for Rapture. Maybe I could be messing with it.

Same problem here!!! Very frustrating, as Rapture is one of my bread and butter synths. I bought Rapture years ago when it came out, and now that it comes bundled for free, i can't use it. ARGH!!!

It's strange how it installs on some and not on others. I have Dim Pro 1.5 from when I installed X1d Expanded....and both Rapture and Rapture LE show up for me.

I'm pretty sure that when I installed X1d expanded I DIDN'T install Dim Pro 1.5...tho I thought I did. I don't see why they don't just have a separate download link in your account for it. (Rapture, I mean)

Guys, you shouldn't need the separate Rapture installation (at least the temporary one from Ryan from Saturday -- it had the same problem as the SONAR X2 installer) to get the workaround to work. You can use the SONAR X2 installer and just have it install Rapture (pick the custom installation and just uncheck everything else except Rapture). HOWEVER, you will have to make one or two temporary Windows Registry tweaks if you want to use the workaround. Here is the link to the post that describes the workaround (he's now updated that post with the extra information I supplied, so it's all in one place): http://forum.cakewalk.com/fb.ashx?m=2670173. The key is to make both of the temporary registry tweaks (or only one if you only have one installed -- I guess the key to whether it's one or two is if you have both 32-bit and 64-bit Dimension Pro on your system; the guy supplying the workaround apparently only had 64-bit, while I had both) in RegEdit first, close RegEdit after that, then do the Rapture installation, then go back into RegEdit and change the key names back to how they originally were. It was very easy to do, but you do have to be comfortable using RegEdit. Rick

Nope, sorry Rick. I did go back and just install Rapture and nothing else and it still doesn't work. You can read my above posts. I'm content to wait until there's a "non" registry fix tho.

yorolpal, if you installed just Rapture, be it from the X2 Producer installation or the temporary Rapture-only installation, but did not first make the two temporary registry key name changes in the link I mentioned, Rapture would not have installed (i.e. if it also didn't install with your original installation -- some people did get it to install with the original installation, but they obviously had different Dimension Pro status than those of us for whom it didn't work). Bottom line seems to be the *only* way to get it to install prior to Cakewalk's supplying a fixed installer is to do the temporary registry tweaks (i.e. temporarily making it look like Dimension Pro isn't installed, and probably breaking Dimension Pro in the process), install Rapture only, then set the registry tweaks you made back to the way they were (i.e. so Dimension Pro will work again). Rick

Rick is definitely a very clever person, along with several other forumites, as they have found a temporary workaround to getting this installed. My lack of a response yesterday is only due to it being a Sunday... but I'm still working on this for you folks. If you're willing to follow the proposed solutions, you can work-around the issue... but I personally feel this shouldn't be a requirement for you folks. I'll follow up again for you all a bit later today.
