Although I do not feel comfortable with these words, i do not find them offensive.

Which can be found in anything by the ignorant.

Words drive primitives to make others explode.

Stupid but true.  Hence we must be careful, cuz it is not always possible to identify the idiots before they behave badly.

Where's judge Roy Bean when he is most needed?

Well said.

In X1 they removed the ability to quick-group Key +/- making it a nightmare to try different keys for a singer.  So now in X2 they remove the ability to click and enter a number with your keypad.  Oh, but they didn't stop there.  Now it's a slider that goes to + or - 127 semitones!   (that's really usable)   How could it be worse you ask?  They also changed the brackets ([]) function to go in increments 8 semitones instead of an octave!

I suppose it makes sense in a way.  They don't believe anyone needs notation so who needs silly things like octaves and key changes.  Just grab a different loop.

Why not use process-->transpose? Wouldn't that be the easiest way anyway? Even in 8.5 an earlier it was a menu command not a quick group.

That's what I do. Works fine.

The problem with that is that it's destructive and after you changed a few times it's very difficult to get back to where you were if what you are doing is auditioning different keys.
If the transposition doesn't work just hit ctrl Z or look for the original event in the history dialog.

We'll not risk another frontal assault-that rabbit's dynamite!!!

That is only good if do nothing else after each transpose.  It wouldn't work for me.

Straight from the Help file:

To set the key offset for a track
1.  Select the track and open the Track Inspector.
2.  In the Track Inspector, click the Key+ control.
3.  Enter a value (1 = a semitone), or press the + or – key to change the key by a single semitone. Use the [ or ] key to change the key by 12 semitones (one octave).

#2 does nothing. You have to ALSO hit the Enter key here.

#3 That's "[" or "]" key.
Also, the "+" and "-" keys only work this way from the 10-key on my laptop and not from the top numbers row.
The numbers row "-" key works like a minus sign.
