You say that like the coffee house is a bad thing. You inferred that. I did not imply it. No need to defend the CH, Mooch. It is what it is, and exactly what it's supposed to be. And where this thread should be.

JJ42 Not my intent. My intent was to make it clear that all of that guy's rants actually had nothing at all to do with Sonar ... and to have a good collective laugh about it all. Because people who do that should be identified so when he shows up somewhere else doing the same thing they can cross reference the angry trolling and put boot to anus, rather than spend time trying to help someone who doesn't actually even really want help. But it's the net and people will debate or argue just about anything so, granted, maybe not the best idea. Thanks Paul. And so ends my first and last foray into the X2 forum. Best regards to you all. I look at this thread as being a nice public service. It lets us see what GP is about. What motivates him. It prepares us for his possible return and makes us all realize how obtuse he is. You did nothing wrong nor would I want you to stop posting. All you did was enlighten us. That is never a bad thing. If there is a problem with some of the posts here it is not your doing. It is on us not you.

Paul P Why have both S1 and X2 ? At 300+$ each, they look awfully similar. Unless you buy the high-end versions they wouldn't cost like that (especially if you buy them during a holiday sale). I choose to own entry to intermediate-level versions that don't include many plugins and get commercial and free third-party plugins (like MeldaProduction, Voxengo, etc) that work in both daws so that I don't have to learn how to use two different pitch-correction tools, mastering tools, etc. As with ampfixer, I got S1 as my plan B (when X1 was very unstable), but using S1 also taught me a lot about what Sonar is good at and not good at. For example, I wouldn't have submitted feature requests for shortcut keys for marker positions, better control surface plugin (ACT feature), etc. And as you say, since they look similar (S1's GUI looks so amateur, though ), it wasn't like having to learn two completely different software.

jb101 He is even funnier on there than he was here. I think my favorite was:- GP posted a rant about how something in S1 didn't work, and how useless the manual was. Some kind and long-suffering member posted some screenshots to help him. GP posted back his usual abuse, claiming that he had no idea what the pictures were of, or what he meant. The helpful member pointed out that one of the screenshots was of GP's beloved Mixcraft.. Priceless. amazing funny!

Jeff Evans Hi John. Yes I don't have a decent enough computer to run X1/X2 but when I do get such a system I might give it a try. Another good thing about Studio One is that it runs on any computer and any OS as well. @Jeff! I'm choked that you are still on XP. Don't get me wrong, Jeff. If I'm not mistaken I know you are a Pro tools and it doesn't work with more then 3GB RAM and modern OS then XP32. So I do understand you position completely Jeff why you haven't update. The new Pro Tools 11 x64bit is a new ball game though. Even I could consider using Pro Tools 11 x64. Pro Tools 11 x64 HD or the Native version will need and require minimum Windows 7 x64bit or Windows 8 x64bit to just install. It will not have any x32bit version of PRO TOOLS anymore that are more then welcome to hear. Really refreshing would I say! I have check it out and I like the new x64bit audio engine "sounds awesome", new longer faders and viability meters found on HD system and the new offline bouncing. There are more even more new functions AAX x64bit support etc.. So now it can be a good idea to upgrade your computer to year 2013 and Windows 8 x64. Jeff I can promise you that you will not look back on XP 32bit anymore. Welcome to x64bit club! Have a great Sunday! Best Regards Freddie

Even I could consider using Pro Tools 11 x64. I currently have PTLE 7.4 - which I rarely use as it doesn't run on Win7 (Vista partition)- so I too would like to upgrade to v11 because I do like some of what PT has to offer. I'm just waiting to win either a lottery or sweepstake of some kind so I can afford the cost to upgrade.

Those link's in the OP are dead and as far as Godparticle he's been officially banned. I was going to celebrate my 200th post with bells and whistles but I figured before this goes down to the Coffee Shop I'd get you folk's up here sorted out. I layed down on the line and posted either he goes or I go and they chose me, I don't know if the forum got the better choice but I'm quite relieved at the moment my friends. p.s. I hope Cubase is his next target.

You find something good and amusing and then the snob MOD just take it away for you. They should give God Particle a FREE VIP account on all DAW forums. Life is just more funnier when he is around!
