Nice job, the mix is really well done.   Interesting throughout, and dance music is not my usual cup of tea.   Pretty good considering it is your first foray into this genre.

Walt, this is a bit of a different genre for me to visit.  While I know nothing of this style, I find it well arranged and superbly done.  The guitar work is quite nice.  I'm a semi retired pro steel player/road dog and truthfully enjoyed this.
I also really like the fat synth sounds. I know it is a different genre, but for some reason, I started thinking about old Emerson Lake and Palmer and Styxx.

Thanks for listening Steve, and for your kind comments.  Truthfully I know almost nothing about dance music myself. :)  My roots are in rock/pop, and I fondly remember the sounds of '70s and '80s synths (including ELP and Styx, among many others!) that I am now able to reconstruct with these fabulous new software synths that are available now.  I'm having great fun learning how to tame these awesome beasts, and use those vintage sounds all over again in my new productions.
 
This whole thing has been sort of a research project for me.  I have been listening to (and buying) a lot of Fila Brazillia, Cutler, Solid Doctor, Tosca, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Thievery Corporation, Crystal Method, Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada, Orbital, etc. in recent months, as part of my broad exploration of "electronica".  It's more of an intensive study really. :)  I'm listening to this stuff non-stop, and finding it fascinating.
 
Anyway, some of those acts tend more towards the DJ/dance side of things sometimes.  I personally have been more gravitating to the ambient/downtempo electronica stuff, but I figured I'd already done some of those so it was time to try a dance tune.  So, "Mind The Gap" is what I came up with.  I'm pretty pleased with the result myself, but truthfully it's not really my "thing" either. :)
