IK Obi

Ok but,
Your Customers have been wanting something that is native 64bit with a more readable GUI. Why not give them that first and then add the new features, they may or may not want, Later? At some point the adding new features have to stop or you will Never release the product.
What I read above this has been possible for a while but IK chose to go their way instead of pleasing their Customers. I call it beyond arrogant and a slap in their Customers faces.
Good luck and Thank you for responding.
Kind regards,
Rick
We don't mean to come across like that, sorry if you feel that way.
While it may have been possible, it doesn't mean the software was stable or ready. Not to mention testing, which is what we are doing now and of course new formats have come out since we started working on it. We aren't going to push something without us feeling it is ready. With all that said, we are in the final stages of development and it should be out soon. We'll have more details on that and a few other things soon.
This didn't even begin to answer Ricks question (not that I would expect one)
An interface redesign and porting the existing instrument to 64 bit could have been
done in weeks...not years.
What does the above statement (and how does it) have to do with Ricks question?
It may have EVERYTHING to do with the current project NOT being ready...but you could
have updated ST years ago...and chose not to in favor of iCrapps and iHardware
(not you Obi, your company).
The ONLY new format is AAX, and, as did everyone else, that could have been done
"Ex Post Facto"....after the VST was done and out...and released as a "point" update....
just cut to the chase.
The honest answer..."We screwed up"...that solves ALL the problems and questions
and issues...but instead...we get horse pucky...that's what I dislike about IK.
Seriously, Noel and the gang did an almost full rewrite on X3 in less then a year, and you're saying
that the IK Staff couldn't get a one (1) silly 64 bit ported version with a better interface ready in 5 years?
(11 since release of V2)
As Bill Cosby would say "
Am I on Candid Camera?"
