Keni But as I don't often use guitar samples (I too am a guitarist and typically prefer to play my real guitars ;-)), I figured I could wait...
The cool thing for us guitar players is the kind of voicings you get when you play guitar sounds from a keyboard. Also there are 10 synth patches that have the organic qualities you'd associate with guitar, but don't sound like guitar. I haven't tried driving them with MIDI guitar yet although I suppose I should, just for grins...

Good points... I did think of them as well which is why I'm still interested. I have used midi guitar with guitar samples a couple of times and I have used such samples in synthy ways to create exotic textures... Maybe I'll grab them tonight... I'm sure it won't hurt me any even if I do have to manually remove the misplaced sfz's later... Thanks for the nudge...

rwheeler After this update, my Sonar Platinum identifies in Command Center as "Cambridge (21.2.0.21)" In Sonar/Help/About it says "Version 21.2.00 Build 21 - x64" Unclear what is gained by using slightly different naming and decimal placeholder conventions. Am posting in case it might be helpful to others.
The 2 numbers are exactly the same - it's just that people may not realise that the last number is often a build number. So 21.2.0.21 is 21.2.0, build 21.

It seems like the missing MIDI notes problem with drum maps has been fixed - but the release notes wrongly claim that it was a problem due to tempo changes. This problem was occurring in songs with just 1 tempo throughout.

1.0.0.13
Thanks scook...
It is what I'm seeing, but at the moment I'm thinking to wait for a cleaned up install fix as Craig has mentioned making such...?
Keni
What people object to is that the SFZ files are placed in the Multisamples folder instead of inside a folder within the Multisamples folder. If that doesn't bother you, go ahead and install it. Also one person reported that Dim Pro would crash with these patches at 48 sample buffers but worked with higher buffer values, however another user reported it working fine at 48 samples so take your choice.
There is also a user (me) that has Dim Pro crash, stand-alone or plugged in, when using the 57GT Neck Power Chord program with a 48K sample rate selected. It looks like this Described here and here

Well, thanks. I will but you could have just answered the question along with the suggestion. I looked at the E-Zine a few days ago but I guess I missed that part. I miss things all the time, I'll look again. I guess I trust too much that updates are going to be things I need or don't already have. I have not moved any loops to my Studiocat yet so it will just be a matter of moving these that CCC downloaded and not installing the same thing from somewhere else.. that's all I needed to know.. but I'll go try and read and figure it out. Thanks. edit> I don't see any mention of the Hardgrove loops on any page. Maybe this is the wrong thread. Anyway, I still don't know if they are something I already had... but I guess I'll figure it out. J

The Brian Hardgroove Collection was a Braintree exclusive and was installed via the Anderton Collection with Braintree. The Brian Hardgroove Collection appeared in this release as a separate installer for those who were members during the Braintree release and the collection was removed from the Anderton Collection installer. I expect there will be some fine tuning to the delivery of exclusive content as time goes on.

Thanks Scook. I think I had it confused with some bass loops I got a few years ago of a similar name, I was confused. I'm glad to have them. When I downloaded them I was planning to find them and move them to my samples drive (unless they are DIM PRO).. sorry for the confusion, I have plenty of it if you need some! LOL. Actually, CCC has been a smooth operator so far. IK has been very easy and smooth, Ignite Amps VSTs have been quick and easy... everything else has been a PITA to one degree or another... but really CCC has worked well. I don't mind some samples on C drive but I want the bulk on E drive... so having all of DIM PRO on C does not bother me. Thanks again, J

If Admin is a req, it should be well documented ... However, running DP as admin stand-alone ends with the same crash. As a plugin in S-Plat, it still causes S-Plat to become unresponsive with the standard "Not Responding" display No difference

Because you weren't a member at the time would be my guess, and it was exclusive content to members during that release, sort of like if you purchased a product after a sale, you wouldn't get the sale price (sort of)

The response was for SMcNamara. The content was a limited time offer, an inducement to sign up during the Braintree release period. The offer expired with the release of Cambridge. Cakewalk has mentioned several times how release exclusive content is handled.

Just as an FYI, Brian made the loop library for commercial release. However, as a SONAR convert (he switched with X3), he graciously agreed to let "early adopters" who signed up for the first release to get it for free.

A couple of little hickups, most easily dismissed as we learn what doesn't work properly (CCC), but anyone with any problem seems to have been easily helped by the usual suspects that loiter on the forum. Well done Cake and thanks to the hosts. This change to how we own and use Sonar is fantastic I must say. Quite a few songs now into my next album, with my first album getting airplay with 3 songs out of the five on the EP, all done with X2/X3 and now Platinum, and the only plugins I've bought are Amplitude and CS rack gear. I won't talk about how much I've spent upgrading monitors, interfaces, mikes etc!! They just don't count lol!! Sonar rocks.... Thanks.

Installed cambridge update and looking now in the win contol panel / programs and features and see that there is two sonar platinum installed, wasnt this an update on existing sonar platinum? Or will we have new installs on sonar every month and manually uninstall previous months update every time? Im using manually download the update and install, not thru command center... Looks like this: Sonar platinum 1,43GB version 21.1 Sonar platinum 1,43GB version 21.2 Is it ok to uninstall the first update without harming anything?? (21.1)

OrphanProject I would not uninstall anything listed as "Sonar Platinum"!!!!!!! I hope the Bakers will chime in here on this but my take is you will remove things that are needed for the program to work and will have to reinstall if you do. The chance of really messing things up by uninstalling is very high. What you are seeing is not that unusual. For instance when I have Java installed each update adds another entry to the list in Control Panel.

Hi Craig... Nice set of samples! I can see many of them very useful and began writing a part using one sound tonight... I can verify the problem with the 12-string samples causing Sonar to lockup... I believe in reading some buffers is the work around? I chose to use a different one of your sample sets instead as I hate increasing my latency! ;-) UsIng keyboard voicings and running it through a Vox Coppertop in Amplitube with a Royer 121 on cone and a U87 on the speaker edge, then placed into one of my preferred rooms with its stereo width decreased and panned partway to one side... Lots of fun! Thanks! Are you also doing the bridge pickup? That's a whole other set of reality! ;-) Keni
