Rapture stops working

I recently upgraded to Sonar Platinum from X3 and all is fine except for Rapture (not Rapture Pro). Rapture just stops working, all other VSTi's play without issue. Rapture has worked fine for me with all versions of Sonar. It's not project related. Any ideas?

    Hi. Did you try to do a vst reset and rescan?

    Just tried that and same problem, just stops playing.

    It works for a while then goes silent, or it never works?

    StudioCat > I use Windows 10 and Sonar Platinum. I have a touch screen.
    I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

    Well, looks like I have the same issue with other VST's as well. If I delete the VSTi's and add it back to the project, it works for a few minutes then quits. Bummer, I've never had a problem in 20 years! I'll figure it out. Thanks!

    Yes, thats what's happening. Only way to get VST's to play again is to delete and insert it back to the project.

    Solution: uncheck Controller in Preferences > Midi Playback and Recording solved the problem
     
    I've been using Cakewalk forever so why do I now have to uncheck Controller in Preferences? Cakewalk has always worked out of the box for me and I'll never remember this setting when it comes time to rebuild PC.

    Who knows, dude. I'm glad you're all fixed up.
     
    BTW, I'm just finishing up a raucous jam using Rapture Pro (C. Anderton's Electronic Guitars Expansion Pack > Pads > Shapeshifter), GR20, and TH3.
     
    So amazing.
     
    I'm typing this with my foot on the hold pedal, letting the final chord cycle through the synth again and again.
