[Solved] Command Center has stopped working
Hi Everyone I tried to update Sonar Platinum to the new Lexington version using Command center like I usually do when updating but for some reason Command center decided not to function anymore. "A problem caused the program to function correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available" Is the message I get. I'm on windows 10. I uninstalled and reinstalled command center. I tried updating something else. I've rebooted the system but nothing changes. The weirdest thing is that I installed Sonar from scratch and did all the other updates etc. with command center with no problems. I made no changes to the system either, it just suddenly stopped working. Did anyone else experience something similar and can maybe shed some light on this weird problem please?

I have exactly the same problem. I'm running windows 10 on an HP envy. Have you contacted tech support?

Hi Alexander. No, I did not. I read a previous post from Cloudrunner77 with the same problem but before anyone replied he concluded that he got around it. I thought it might be quicker now to just request help from the forum instead of contacting tech support.

I purchased Sonar Artist and when I attempted to use Command Center to install it, I got the same error message as Toit. I am running Windows 10 / 64-bit.

I had a similar issue with Lexington, but only if I selected 'update all' in the CCC. Updating one element at a time worked fine. I'm also on Windows 10 64bit.....now there's a surprise.........

Hi Everyone, We ran into something similar when we were testing some internal/api changes. It looks like a Win10 auto update may be the culprit. Ryan and I were both also on Win10/x64 when it happened to us. In any case - if you're experiencing this please try installing this build: http://static.cakewalk.com.s3.amazonaws.com/command-center/CakewalkCommandCenterSetup_1.1.2.4.exe If this resolves the issue for you please report back and let us know so we can get it up ASAP. Thanks and sorry for any headaches. Edit: to fix link

Me too. New CCC file install doesn't change anything. My error message is from Windows 10: "A problem has caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

I am also having this issue, minus the error message. CCC just closes without any explanation whatsoever. This is using "update" or "update all" as well as trying prior to installing version 1.1.2.3 provided above and again afterwards. Edit: Oh, yeah... Windows 10 64bit, too.

during my many attempts to reinstall, with and without admin priv, with and without anti-virus software, for many different combinations of sonar platinum products, command center, etc. I also got a mfc120u.dll error, which suggests that some shared dll may be missing or was deleted during the install. a.f.wilson

I'm about 50% installing (Splat) on to a new Win 10 Pro system and all is working great. The CCC I used was the one that was up today... I ran Splat and tested a few thing including an older CWB project, all ran fine. If that help.

I too am having the problem Toit described. I am running Win10 Home on a new computer. I get an error when trying to install Sonar Platinum saying that CC stopped working, and Win needed to close it. I sure hope someone will find a solution to this and share it with us! Edit: I tried the CC link in the post above, and that didn't seem to fix the problem.

Edit: Please see my post on page 2 for a potential temp fix: http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3343922 Hi Everyone, Sorry for the troubles - I'm struggling to recreate this problem myself. Can somebody who is able to repro it send me the following: a) Navigate to: %appdata%\Cakewalk\Command Center if you have a debug-log.txt file, send me that. b) Open the windows event viewer, under 'Windows Log' select the option for 'Application'. From the actions pane select 'Filter Current Log', check only the option for 'Error' and then finally select 'Save Filtered Log File As ...' Give it an awesome name like 'WillySucks.evtx' or 'WillyIsDumb.evtx' wjones AT cakewalk DOT com Thanks
