ONLY stability and bug fixes for a short while. I can never get my head around half of the features before they "improve my workflow" and have to learn/relearn them. I really love making music so much more than hunting around for editing tools. Oh, and you could cut the scan time for plugins down about 90%.

Sonar Platinum, Windows 10 64bit, 3.4ghz i7CPU,  16gigs RAM, 1x 1TB SSD system drive 1 x 1TB HDD ( audio only)

1) Themes.  (I know there are lots of user made...but official well made ones like Tungsten.)
2) User selectable sizes of strips in console view instead of the two sizes.  I need em bigger.

Sonar wish list:

1. Delete hole cleaned up and usable. I write in Sonar and fit the tempo track to my piano midi. Coming back later and moving sections around would be much easier if the delete hole function worked as well as the insert measure function.
2. Would love to see a tempo track where the tempo is a standard envelope just like CC controllers. Maybe instead of 1-127 the range is something like 10 or 20 bpm through 240? 360? What's reasonable?
3. A chord track would be nice - alternately an unlimited number of text tracks which could include either chords or lyrics tied to measures/beats.
4. +1 ability to copy entire tracks including all midi/audio and plugs from one open project to another.
5. Like the idea of more flexible metering, esp. VU meters.
6. Create an option for sticky plug-in UIs. I hate that I have to cntr-click to get a plug-in to remain open while I open another. If I want to have several open at once if I forget even once all the other plugs disappear and I'm starting from scratch.
7. Increase integration with Melodyne such that it can be included as a lane, a la Digital Performer's pitch automation

Video Wish List:

Just one right now - drum maps. I've purchased a number of drum libraries in different formats but tend to only use AD (which is great, but hate to not use the other libraries I paid for) because the mapping is different. The one time I tried to make my own drum map (to map between Session Drummer and Garritan's Jazz and Big Band brush kit) it never worked. When I turned on the drum map I was greeted with silence and never did figure out what I was doing wrong. Heck, if users can share their working drum maps between various drum vsts that would be handy.

Thanks for listening

Gary McCoy
Something like Ableton's Beatseeker, a plug that allows the sequencer to lock to a live drummer (or other rhythmic source material).

Actually Melodyne can do that now with the tempo extraction feature. You just drag a clip to the time and even if it wasn't played to a click, you'll have a tempo map that follows along. It's not real time, though.

One. I would like to work in Sonar with Studio One workflow as much as it is possible.
To be able to select Studio One emulation mode.

Two. A Patcher or Multi-Instruments modular environment.

Three. Would love to see midi expression as in Cubase.

Four. Would love to see a Sonar and FL Studio as a VSTi with midi and audio file drag and drop exchange.

Have you noticed that no additional "future Updates" have been added for a long time.

Other than that I love Sonar Platinum!

Re-visioning of ACT and the ability to readily detect/profile/assign the transport, faders and knobs on the most commonly used MIDI devices of the last 5-6 years. Including my 1st gen MPK61, of course.

forgive me if any of this is currently possible... let me know if there is already a solution to any of these.

1. stability.  Seems like Sonar crashes 2-3x a day on me.
I also get other 'glitches' during production... something that is not normal and not reproducible.
2. Add time to start of rendered track.
I often open my project in SF and insert 1 sec at start of song.
Either a negative measure bar or an option in export mix popup.
Someone may have a solution for this already, but I'm not aware of it.
3. Drag a track to any place in any folder.  I can't insert a new track and drag it to the end of a folder.
I dislike using the 'remove from folder' and 'insert to folder'.
4. Ability to insert an EOF marker and render directly...
it's a pain to do CTL+A then highlight the track length before exporting.
has someone built a shortcut to do this?

I like many of the other ideas here.

I'd like the ability to fully color the entire tracks and channels like I was able to do in Mercury.   I don't like the small strip at the bottom of the channels or at the left edge of each track in the track view,  I want the entire track and Console view to accept coloring.

Peace,
