Which is sad from a UK company (fxpansion).

The Zildjian Library is a Zildjian product...  FXpansion just distribute for them on their web store.  The AudioMIDI deal was done through Zildjian.

Yes. My bad.

For some reason I assumed fxpansion was offering the same deal.

I'm in the US (actually 20mi from audioMIDI.com) so I ordered it from them at that incredible price.

Yeah.. If someone were to buy the Zildjian pack they'd need to get some drums.. available at FXpansion or our website...  There's a coupon floating around for a certain Rock Legends kit ;)

So is this true Bapu that the audiomidi deal includes Eco as well? If so that's phenomenal.

Slightly off topic I know but I mentioned earlier how wonderfully useful I thought the kit piece browser was on the FXpansion site.
I think you should have one on the platinum site too. It's all very well hearing it within the context of a piece of music but sometimes
(or often even) the music ruins it for me :(
Just saying

Can't confirm that just yet. I won't have mine until tomorrow or Friday. But I have the S-Packs and IIRC it comes with a "variant" of Eco that was designed for cymbals only, but since I have BFD2 (and Eco but I no longer use it) I never had to use the included software to operate the S-Packs.

Right from the Fxpansion web site...

The supplied BFD Eco DV player software is a fast, efficient environment for drum production. It allows you to load BFD-series expansions, and so opens a whole universe of drums, hihats, cymbals and percussion. The player includes a suite of options to tweak, sculpt and mix your sounds with high-quality EQ and FX.

So it technically IS Eco...just you don't get the drums...but the drums can be load if you choose to do so..as it says you can load expansions into it..

AND you can UPGRADE to BFD from this version the same as Eco...So it technically IS Eco...just you don't get the drums...but the drums can be load if you choose to do so..as it says you can load expansions into it..

God I'm so tempted. Trying to decide between that and This but I'm running short of This

This is a great value.  Even tho I have ECO and BFD among many others I still think having ECO DV is a plus.  I would love to have an ECO that I could load ALL my slots with cymbals from Gen16 and use with my other (EZD, SD2, SSD4, etc...) kits.  And so I shall.

I agree....

I can put all my cymbal parts there and beats in whatever host I choose to use...it's a win win...

And on the flipside, it'd be nice to free up the Eco cymbal slots for non-cymbals… say toms or percussion (my vote)...

The original Eco will only let you load cymbals in to the cymbal slots so I'm guessing Eco DV will be no different.
Only BFD2 allows you to load any kit piece in to any slot.

Very tempting to jump on this, but I am happy with many of my cymbals already and I am wondering if I'll ever use this extensive a collection of cymbal samples.

Right… but in Eco you can swap the percussion slots for toms and/or cymbals (w/ some limitation on available articulation)… Now that I have Eco and Eco DV, I'd just as soon run all my cymbals in DV, becuase I generally want more than 3 cymbals anyway. So now my 3 cymbal slots in Eco go unused… Not a huge deal, but I'd like to use the unused slots for percussion, for those times when I have more than a few percussion pieces… I guess I could just go with two Eco instances, but then my cymbals are divided across tracks… Ahhh…. I guess if that's the worst of my problems, then things aren't really so bad, are they? :)

BTW, I just got my copy of z-pack after ordering less than 24 hours ago and selecting 2-day delivery… :)

Ah, thanks for that Keith, didn't know you could do that.
I tend to stick to BFD2 so I guess there are a few things in Eco I have yet to learn.

Think of it this way... if you had to go buy those 14 cymbals for real it'd set you back $3000 or more... so you got a pretty good deal...

Does anyone know how to separate the volume controls for the the different hat articulations - volume/mix control for closed vs open vs pedal hat ?. It's been the one thing that's kept me from digging into ECO for full production use. I bought this and got ECO on the last No Brainer. Great bunch for all of 45.00 or so.

It tells you at the web site that you can load your BFD drum expansion kits into the DV version...

It's basically Eco without the drums and a whole lot of cymbals...

My hope is that when mine gets here (today) that I'll get the FREE Rock Quick Kit that you get with Eco when I register...

If not then I'll have to get the 50 percent off deal....darn...

We shall see...

Got mine.  Installed OK but can't authorize.  Can't connect to the server.  Don't know if it's my problem or theirs...but I suspect it's due to everyone downloading their "free" compressor.  Will try again later.
