Got mine.  Installed OK but can't authorize.  Can't connect to the server.  Don't know if it's my problem or theirs...but I suspect it's due to everyone downloading their "free" compressor.  Will try again later.

Their site has been down all day.  I got min on Saturday.  I'm really liking it so far.  Only problem is that its 32bit.   So I'm thinking I'll do the $99 upgrade to BFD.  I really don't need another 55GB of drums but what the hell I'll need it eventually if I want to stay 64bit.  I emailed FXpansion and the said they have no current plans to make Eco 64bit.

I copied the contents of the folders in BFD-eco to BFD-eco-dv and now I can load everything into the kit mode using eco's drums. It works!

It tells you at the web site that you can load your BFD drum expansion kits into the DV version...

It's basically Eco without the drums and a whole lot of cymbals...

My hope is that when mine gets here (today) that I'll get the FREE Rock Quick Kit that you get with Eco when I register...

If not then I'll have to get the 50 percent off deal....darn...

We shall see...

Nope, the free Rock Legends kit is not included with the Zildjian pack - only when you buy BFD Eco (an FXpansion product)

Cheers,

Indeed you can. You should really check out both thoroughly before you decide and check out minimum requirements (especially for BFD2)
and then double them. If you want to get serious about drums and creating your own sounds then BFD2 is the way to go and at $99
it's a no brainer as they say.
Having said that Eco is (IMHO) the best in that category and at that price and is much less of a learning curve.
I have posted loads of stuff about both and put up a comparison in another thread I'll dig out for you if you like.

No, BFD2 upgrade from BFD1.5 or Eco (and I guess DV) is $99… I think BFD2 full is on sale currently @ $150, so it works out the same...

But if the upgrade from Eco DV is $99 and people have already both Z-pack + Eco DV then it is $99 for BFD2
I'm so tempted to get the Z-pack, trouble is I don't know which one I want so I have all three.

This link specifically lists Eco DV

http://www.scitscat.com/p...eco-or-bfd-eco-dv.aspx

(Of course you may want to email them to make 100% sure.. since all other sites only list BFD Eco 1.5 as being eligible)

Correct. Unless there is an update to it somewhere, the version I installed from the media was 32bit only. I admit I have not searched out if a 64bit version of Eco DV exists.

Trust me... there is no 64 bit version of Eco DV

If you want 64 bit you need BFD Eco 1.5 or BFD2

Hi Dean finally found my post of Eco v BFD2 comparisons.
It near the bottom of page 2  Here

It's a rough comparison and is part fact part opinion.

As for the upgrade from Eco Dv it is listed at the top of the page on the add at skitskat music  here

NOW ya tell me...I JUST plucked down the $45 to AudioDeluxe
for ECO because the DV version SUCKS....

It, being only 32 bit, makes a WHOLE lot of static noise when playing the grooves...

On the BRIGHT SIDE...I got the Rock Legends Kit FREE...

And I bet you don't get that kit with the Upgrade...

So, if that's the case...I'm not disappointed...Just means I got
the RL Kit for $5 instead of $30...

How does it being only 32 bit cause a whole lot of static noise ?
I've never heard of such a thing and having owned both Eco and BFD2 32bit versions have never had it happen to me. Are you saying all 32bit plug ins cause a whole load of static noise. Something else is going on that has nothing to do with 32bit architecture.

Well Steve here's what I can tell you...

BOTH the Stand Alone and the Plug In...when you play multiple cymbals...gets REALLY bad...the signal breaks up like Digital Peaking..

EVEN THOUGH ALL THE LEVELS ARE DOWN ....

I'm CERTAINLY not blaming the 32 bit architecture...I have plenty of 32 bit plugs and stand alone Hosts that work just fine...

May have something to do with Eco DV and the Quad Capture Asio driver...I really don't know...

All I know is it's terrible ( FOR ME )

Guess I should have qualified that statement...my bad

And REALLY ...if DV had worked fine I wouldn't have plucked down the $45 for ECO...

Getting the 64 bit host AND the RL Quick Kit is what pushed me to buy it..
