The attraction to these kinds of threads for me is simple. A lot of us have a great deal of emotional and financial investment in our pursuit of music. That includes the years we spend learning the basic infrastructure of music itself, the instruments we play and the voices we train. It then extends to the tools we use to create and record the music which, to do well requires as much investment of time and passion and money as it does to master an instrument.

And all those years and hours of investment are done mostly alone, in our bedrooms or studios, repetitively hammering away at scales and licks and songs with such a singularity of focus that in many cases friends and even families struggle to understand the point of it all and some eventually go on with their lives without us. The personal and financial cost to achieve even modest levels of skill in this world can be considerable.

The one place we can go where we will be understood, where our devotion to music is not questioned as a stupid waste of time or a severe mental disorder , is here in online communities like this one. Perhaps it's because the habit of investment is by now second nature to most musicians that people here put so much time and effort into assisting those of us struggling with one concept or another, but whatever the reason is, they do it again and again, and have for years and I've yet to see a single request for a quid pro quo or even a simple pat on the back.

Most of us respond with our own small investments and post by post, a thing of beauty is continually shaped and reshaped, and it's something that we can all rightly take credit for and have some pride in. A lot of the trolling threads attack not just the quality of the software but the character of the community here too, so yeah, I'm interested when these pop up, because like most of you, I've invested here in my own small way and I don't much like it when vandals walk around spraying graffiti and breaking windows.

That is so well said Kevin. I couldn't agree more.

Bruce.

Re: Hello and Goodbye 2016/03/29 00:52:08 (permalink)
Yah..Good folks are here, thank GD for that!

And thanks to CW for a good product , when working!

But it is the underlay of this post, that concerns some....
Why leave the forums, or the product?

I do not see the product persay as being the problem with the product as such was...
I have been trying many different setups...and systems to find out what is causing instability in a lot of products running on...X= MS OS WIN..for many years, and many troubles are seemingly always with it, no matter the DAW used or Products there on...eventually...Updates occur...and such...and a build up of Logs, and such...and other things needing resolution of, USE OF HARDWARE/SYSTEM and SYSTEMS Employed to gain or run behind the seens of the program...that are not system specific, nor are said comes in, or is working towards the benifit of the OS, Products there on in using to run...and system hickups when CPU and Memory are accessed by..OS Services, And IRQ swapping out...To run one or more of them.

Here may be where things start getting oddly or vague in performance from one system to another, depending on Drivers and or well known holes in this process to side step..

Again, Like CW Product for the working stability I have found recording many tracks at once..seem ok..but,...I have a work around for each audio ASIO device..if using USB, or Firewire, or Thunderbolt adapter with firewire 800 or 400 Products.
And now pure thunderbolt2 audio devices...of what I could afford to get to see what works with or on other systems or OS, Or DAWs...Atari midi started me on with Roland Ten Trax , Pro 24 (Roland?), Steinberg Cubase 1.0 and 2.0....,,and into MS Windows 95, being a base from that I decided to build on because of cost at the the time of PC vs Mac...to do digital audio, with midi...working together well?....well not so well until...Win 98se, XP...around here things started to kind of work, yet still had issue with Steinberg 3.5r7 VST...and some bad burnings of audio card...trying to get that setup to work...without noise on the audio being produced by said system...Not by the audio lines or amplifier external to the setup....ISA ported audio.
Then PCI.
Then firewire.
USB..
and still liking the Firewire over USB...Both have issues here...with the products I selected.

Thunderbolt seemed to cure.

And not just with one but most, if the driver can be found by the product...it usually works.
with TB adapter and firewire device I have..CW sonar would and still does loose the driver , when using the Allen and Heath r16x2 setup, and noises on audio with win 7-8.1 and more issues with cpu problems...spiking, and crashing the systems being used in that.

So, what is causing this?...Oh free to update to win 10, to make audio better, and new DXi...hmmm...let us try.

Works?...Yah...but I see my cpu being used for things I need not have running...Giving me more processing power, and less resources running in background is a Good thing to isolate the cpu and system resources to the work at hand...

This is the intention of all users and systems being used for...if so doing.
?

I wonder myself...is all this just a waste of time?

Making music, or video, or such hard cpu labor intensive tasks of number crunching..and running the processes in App To render onto/effects, compression if needs be..and export...to end results..Why?

Do we really need all this stuff to make music?....No...But it is interesting that some can, and do, without such things...and other do with...some good, and some better, and some great comes out of it...all is awesome....if it is good....
Many are trying...is also Good.

So..music.

Now if things are being undermined by the OS running and taking performance from user systems, making it unstable at (a over load of cpu or mem conflicts that cannot be resolved, system freezes)....If services from OS, are not involved in the music process or system device control....to gain that stability...are being used for other tasks to get info or spy and spend reports to MS or other....and it causes issues with some lower end systems...by using too much resource to do, or if not wanted done....For it has nothing to do with the workflow...it interfering with processes of cpu/mem and other devices or irq request put on hold or hault because of...Is not making anything better in mind of what is being gleaned from the sysyem if connected, and what these services do when not connected to the internet//?????// ps is bs if it cause issues in the work flow of doing the work needed to be done!

Now..that is my understanding so far of why I thought I got all this stuff!...has moved to troubleshooting more so than music making....But learning it as I go is the benefit I gain regardless...over all I guess.

Les is more babble, saying good bye.....?...NO, but I will pull those services and tweak as need be, and remove the connection when all is working as updated to the tilt...

No connection to internet, no wi fil...no phone or androids near to sync in, or sync out, or squeek to the unknown ones taking, or getting from the systems, without permission from, or want done by the user/owner of said systems!

...Less processor/system use of services that are redundant to the work needed to do in making music, less Irq faults, no mem page issues...smoother operations!...No mistrust festering through the spy eye ops they put in it...OS,.... and other third party readers or such, or now plug ins or other aids for,..constantly needing auto updates, or allways polling to see what is new if so,...to send info back to?....turn it off, and it still wants to send or connect to get the latest one of?.......why?...The one put on works and has no issues opening or such the file type it was designed for reading...PDFs...or task used for..in plug ins, or other aids, or drivers...for devices.

Now this may only be win 10 and PC?....nope!

So no matter how long one is with these systems, and techno devices,...It comes to mind, or thought...exactly why do I do this, or use this, if it is mistrusting and spying ?... and suffer the problems there with issues always?

Because it fun?...Well not so much any more in that run around exposed..or still hidden?... if it is tied to spy and lie, to make us pay more and more, which fuels a underhanded muse in weapons bought and sold for...Hate and killing...when that could help others more so live a better life without.....by giving and sharing!...Proven works to make no enemies here!

Might be implied by...saying Good bye....?..or a wolf is in the flock of his reality also?

He or she is always with us...until reason is enough given, it has gone on too long not getting that done with, or something is not right with...?...X....I say!

Too much fixing, and always fixing to use, but is not necessary to make music with,..if one is always doing this.FIXING....time is taken away from the other/Music or Living Life FReely/was a conceptual truth once upon a time never seen by many,...of any?...And yet some word of being given the right to have the given received as so...was also in a word of promise!.

SO what is breaking down in odd ways some, but not all,..and stopping some but not all?.
With the process of getting it working...right, without issue?..to make music with.

That is suppose to be sold first, not sought after....buying....I say.

But, I am wrong in this world, in that term or proper policy of sales being made to gain a product to do a task,..must do the task it claims it does!...break it then sell it, then ask to pay to fix it....Just ain't working out...because it has always been that way...Does not mean it has to continue to do so.....I say....Yet new year, and many past trying....same old policy in play is still....Why?

Well perhaps the one leaving, Likes the fun, the help, the being...one with...But finds it is no longer one of...the music...it is one of, the other thing music is against.....Silence!

Spying is a mistrust process that leads to insurrections, and is really tied to a process of warfare!

Although tragedies are tied to blues and such a telling of, might mean a expressed story told through musical means...on a electrical meridian...We do not understand?....Perhaps is connected to all things of Spirit of pure...and some taint that with...XXX...and other ugly things!...to cause issues in the mind...of some, but not all....and some others putting it there to lead astray...that mind, to lean towards....A state of mind....Not wanted.

Music should be used for merriment and jubilees, to dance and sign a signing to the spirit of life, to sing!...not in helping life be tragic, or painful, or in regrets, ...But prehaps painful, or suffering through...pain, torubles, tired souls, of sickness or death, or just hurt...by the monsters putting up and making mistrust fester in the machine...is problematically sown, so some fall away!.

Now, I am not sure what the OP is saying good bye to....

I hope it is not tragically hip to sow sorrow today...In taking ones own life out of the equation of being....There are good people here, and there, and everywhere!

But sometimes the spirit CALLS ..."STAND OUT OF IT ,MY PEOPLE,....So you do not take part in her punishment"

It does hurt the soul of it, it taints the purity of the mind over matters in the world....if it is used to cause, or taint towards...WAR and Death..or seed mistrust, to spawn insurrections, and gain intell by ugly means...for or against the user, or worldly peoples of a certain ilk or way, that does not harm or do ugly things...or in support of them who do..of one or the other ...who is paranoid?...if it is punished by a higher word than, "Policy" now being aired...To keep the soul, spirit, and the greater Good in use, for Good only to do with, of the good given us, to make good with ......is best!...and try to get them others off the systems...doing no good at all!

So, be mindful...some have morals and duties to perform...and allegiances lie with...for the blessings to come, some have to abide in that warning call!

Just saying...stay out troubled waters to all...and let the spirit guide you to life, to do good with the good given,....as was given and will always be given..to do good with...with always done by his people!...thus no worried worries come through doing that as told!

And yet with..OS win..MS..I find it not bliss in the state I am finding win 10~ it seems to be counter to my allegiance of ...also, to some degree or regrets. Now finding..but do try to keep things as I need em to work...to finish my song!

Best of the rest to you all!
Just unplug when you get it right...might stop it?...or just turn it off..and play!

Cheers to the good ones still giving help and comfort to all!
