Just got an Email from Amazon, SONAR X1 Power has shipped! They are on their way.

Mine is on its way, too!  Thanks Scott.

David

Hey Johnny and David...

Awesome! Amazon is usually really good at getting things shipped out once they have them in stock.

I hope you both enjoy the book... thanks!

Ordered mine based upon the optimistic premise that I will actually be able to get X1 to run after the patch.
Hi Jack,

Yep, SONAR X1 Power takes the upcoming X1b patch into consideration. Only a few minor things didn't make it into the book, but those are now fully documented on the Errata page. Just go to my site, click on the SONAR X1 Power link, and then click the Errata link for all the info...

Thanks!

I just purchased my copy on Amazon.
Hey Positively,

Thanks very much! I hope you enjoy the book.

And don't worry about the Kindle version... you're not missing out on any discount. See my response to Julien...

Scott

Yes, I kind of figured.  No problem, I have a Nook anyway; LOL!

More seriously, and partly because the Nook is Android-based, I must admit that I find the new Android-based tablets very appealing; maybe even moreso than the iPad 2.

Hi Positively and Bud,

The Nook is a possibility but I don't know for sure at this point. If the book does become available in that format later on, I'll be sure to update my site.

Thanks!

Hey Scott due to the overwhelming response you seem to get with your past books, I'm going to blindly give your X1 book a try and ordered it last night.  I just started using cakewalk products about a year ago (GTP4) and upgraded to Sonar in Dec.  Overall I like the program a lot.  I'm suppose to get the book in about a week.  I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Hi Matt,

Thanks very much! I hope you enjoy the book. I think you'll get a lot out of it, especially since SONAR has changed so much with the new X1 version.

No, I'm not from Saskatchewan,  (and green is a color that I don't favor.) That avatar is temporary; One of the Cakewalk stock avatars.) I haven't decided on a personal avatar as yet.

Ha! Yeah, I know... I'm working on it. There's both free videos that supplement the book and the DVD series that is something separate. So I'm definitely keeping busy.

Thanks!

Hey David,

Thanks! Yeah, I like the new, big format too. The book is much easier to read and stays open better on a flat surface too. Plus, all the chapters fit in print this time so we didn't have to deal with PDF downloads.

Hi Everyone...

Those of you waiting for the Kindle version... I've now heard that it should be available sometime around April 8th. That is not a totally solid date yet, but I figured you might like to know. I'll keep you informed and keep my website updated.

Thanks!

Re:Hey Scott! When can we expect Sonar X1 Power! 2011/08/24 21:06:12 (permalink)
Hi Alex,

Yep, I know... it's frustrating. But the reason it's taking so long is because this International distribution deal is for their entire book catalog and the publisher is a very big company. Believe it or not, none of their books on Kindle are available outside the US. Luckily, this is a one-time thing. Once it's done, the Kindle versions will be available worldwide from present to future editions. It should be any time now...

Thanks!
Scott

Cheers Scott
This is weird, Bobette links works but there's no way I can search for it on Amazon.com. If I search the Kindle store within With Amazon it only comes up as paperback.

Clicking on Bobette's link shows the kindle title but states "This title is not available for the United Kingdom".... So I guess people from the UK cannot buy it.

Searching on Amazon.co.uk shows nothing either.
I guess what you are saying Scott is that it will be available internationally soon for the Kindle, it is currently only available in the USA in electronic format.
Cheers and much appeciated...
Alex
