And similarly, I have started another theme called Magma:

based on this:

It's much more contrasted and aggressive, but I liked the idea...
About 50% finished.

Like many myopic people, it's not easy for me to see in the dark. That's why Tunsgten is just unusable for me (although it's a beautiful theme). The solution could be the color strips, but Cakewalk don't want this feature anymore (thank you for the downgrade)... Among all the great features of the recent years, the color strips were certainly the one which helped me most to be productive...

So I'm back to Mercury. Not looking very modern but efficient, clear and including practical color strips. That must be what Cakewalk calls innovation.

The color strips were difficult to implement in the Theme Editor for some reason, hence the reason they're not in Tungsten. I too hope that colored tracks can be restored for custom themes.

The first 3 books in "The Musician's Guide to Home Recording" series are available from Hal Leonard and http://www.reverb.com. Listen to my music on http://www.YouTube.com/thecraiganderton, and visit http://www.craiganderton.com. Thanks!

I personally find the way strips are colored in Tungsten (along the bottom in CV) to be great and ready to use. I like that it retains the overall darkness. I don't find it hard at all to find which track I'm looking for.

Sorry to insist, but any opinions on my Iceberg theme? This is my first theme, so... I'm anxious to know

The Magma theme is just work in progress and was more fun to make than it is actually usable, but you may comment on it too if you'd like.

Greetings,
I find the Tungsten theme an excellent theme and I did a few color highlights using the preferences tab. Like many users I am very busy with recording and producing and I haven't got the time or the desire to change the look of my program. Maybe if the process was streamlined and quick to use I might spend a few minutes coloring things a bit but with the current process it's just too labor intensive.

I agree Blackish. If you could easily change the accent colour in the tungsten theme (which some users have actually done in some themes) without having to change individual pieces, that would be much more useful to someone like me with limited skill in graphic manipulation (or seeing colour for that matter.)

I'm actually secretly hoping someone is hard at work creating the next greatest theme, but they're waiting on the big reveal until it's complete!

Tungsten is nice to look at, but Mercury lets me see where I'm going...

I find that I use a bright theme during the day and a darker theme at night. This helps my vision very much so I'm glad we have the option.

I've been chipping away at mine since creating the new Control Bar. I'm not sure it's gone quite where I intended it, but I prefer it every time I flip back to the others.

Is everyone aware that there's an area for themes to be displayed and made available for sharing on the Software forum in the very first thread.

Please PM me so I can arrange to have your them included.

We will be splitting out the themes into their own sticky thread shortly.

Thanks. Please help spread the word. If you see a theme somewhere let me know so we can put it where it belongs for easy finding.

I am hooked on Blue Aston ver.2!!! I made some adjustments to the colors in the event list and I'm very happy! Such a great job on that. Now, this magma looks like something that would keep me awake on late night sessions!!! Gotta have it.

I'm not-secretly hoping that Ben is almost finished doing whatever needs to be done to incorporate console fader colours into the theme engine so they can exist outside Mercury.

Im on the list for people waiting for a new theme as well.
I love tungsten, use it all the time. but I want more from where that came from. Been more than a year now since we got the tungsten and theme editor. I still have issues trying to figure out how to use that theme editor.
Half my fault, half to difficult (not user friendly).

To Grebz: I would certainly try Iceberg.  I'm happy with Blue Ashton at the moment.

What I admire about your effort is that the theme is fully based on something real.

Software: Cakewalk by Bandlab; Adobe Audition; Band-in-A-Box audiophile; Izotope Ozone; Encore; Melodyne; Win 10 Pro, 64-bit.

Hardware: Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 2nd; Roland Integra-7; TCE Finalizer; Presonus Central Station, Behringer X-Touch.  Home built i7 with 16 GB RAM, SSDs.

Another late entry...

I can't see myself changing from the Tungsten theme which is both easy on the eye and professional in appearance. I'm not a fan of overly vivid or multi-coloured UI's, but each to their own.

Whatever changes occur in the future, please leave Tungsten in its current clean, clear and unsullied form
