I notice the absence of Proteus Bob...Where do you rate that???

Proteus is one of my favorites, but it's a sampler. The bulk of that huge library are natural instrument sounds, and it certainly has its place.
These synths are for those more exotic "synthy" sounds. Think Jan Michael Jarre', Van Gellis, Rick Wakeman.
One thing with most all of these synths, is that a controller is fairly essential to bring them to life.
Velocity, hold time on the keys, and other factors can have a real impact on the sound you get from a given synth.
There's a lot of good stuff available, so keep rolling.

This is just so true - I've only had my controller for a couple of weeks but even in that short time, I've noticed the massive difference between 'playing' softsynths and 'programming' them.

Alan, you're turning out to be a crap Chairman I have to say - the ability to read helps:

ORIGINAL: SteveStrummerUK

Meetings are the first Tuesday of the month, 7.30pm sharp in the phone box outside the Lea & Perrins factory!

Bring your own chair.

Back on't tractor and on yer way up t'north

For your information, the meeting was cancelled due to an anchovy escaping from the Midland Road factory:

Far too far south.

M6 - M5 should do it.

No you weren't. And as for redecorating the next venue. Just have some cabbage, onions, garlic and beer a half hour before you attend everything will be just fine. I promise.

yesiree. precisely. The contects of which after ingestion and a half hour incubation time will most certainly clear the room.
