I've loaded Sonar 8

OK ...Sonar 8 is on my computer. Reg was easy and quick. S8 looks very much like S7. I played back a sequence I fininished in the AM and eveything was fine. CPU usage was lower, maybe 40%-60%. I'm not a tech guy so i don't know how to measue for real just using my eye.

The little transpor is bigger and I had to slide things around, other than that nothing musch looks different. I did not load the additional content on 3 other discs. That will have to wait.

My future self is coming for you. I tried to stop him but it is already too late. It has happened in the future and there is no way around it without upsetting the space time continuum.

He is armed with something that looks like a cross between a pogo stick and a pineapple. It looks dangerous.

Alright...I'm not pushing Sonar very hard today. I have a project that is loaded with 1.5 gig of soft synths and this project is all midi at this point. I'm not noticing anything different, but on the other hand nothing has gone wrong. THe little transport is larger with extra ff and RR controls.

I already thought the one in S7 was too big. Not a dealbreaker but a PIA for sure.

Not sure how to get a screenshot. One cool thing I've found with the transport. Hold down FF or RR and the Now Marker slides along...very cool.

    Sorry i'm such a non-tech type guy

Maybe it shipped with $10,000 monitors and a full compliment of room treatment.

Jimbo 88 never commented on what his bonus was for being 1st to report here on getting and loading SONAR 8.

maybe sonar 8 contains subliminal acoustical messages that turn users into cakewalk-advertising-zombies from outer space...

    photobucket?

An internet site where you upload a picture.

Then the URL of that picture is posted inside a LINK (6th button on the right of the word Message when you are composing a message. When you click that LINK button you are given a dialog box where paste the URL of the picture and some "text" that we click on.

Or you can just paste the URL in your message (kind of ugly though).

THIS, which was made with the LINK button
    is the same as:
    http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.asp?m=1505407&mpage=1&key=?

which are links to this thread but the same idea applies to a picture URL on phitobucket.

This one I'm very interested in.

    What's the track count?
    What's the instrumentation?
    What are the audio preferences?

Does raising/lowering the buffer make it go away?

    If you have the time...

    Thanks,
