Kontakt Updated to 5.6
Run SC or NA to download and install The free 5.6 update provides KONTAKT 5 with an updated user interface. The update also brings improvements to stability and a number of important bug fixes. KONTAKT instrument developers now benefit from a number of new KSP features, allowing larger available screen space for user interfaces and improved instrument building workflow. The 5.6 update also introduces Usage Data Tracking to KONTAKT 5 and KONTAKT 5 PLAYER. This will help us ensure quality and stability by allowing us to collect important data on how the software is used. This will always be done anonymously and can be disabled at any time. For more information, please read this Knowledge Base article.To update KONTAKT, open Native Access and select KONTAKT in the 'Available Updates' tab. Native Access will notify you when KONTAKT is updated. If you prefer to update KONTAKT using Service Center, open Service Center, click on the Updates tab, select KONTAKT 5.6, and click ‘Download’. Once your download is complete, run the KONTAKT 5.6 update Installer. Once installed, your KONTAKT 5.6 software will be ready for use.

Nothing so disruptive in the short term as a new user interface, might have to schedule this update carefully.
Good news we don't have to update to Komplete 11 to stay current.

Anyone else find Kontakt missing from their list of plugins in the synth browser after updating? I get an error message when launching projects that use Kontakt that says "Missing Plug-ins: Kontakt 5 (Synth Rack)
Studio One 3.5. SPLAT 64. Win 7 Pro. Dell 7010, i7 3770, 3.4 GHz, 16Gb RAM. Tascam US-122 Mk II. Lotsa other gadgets.

I think it's a bit of an improvement, but let's face it, Kontakt will always be a little hard on some eyes. It's just too damn small.

Lots of complaints over on the NI forum. Missing plugin problem reported in Pro Tools, Ableton and Cubase. Apparently the installer is not respecting the previous install location, so if you had previously placed the DLLs in a non-default location you may need to find where they are and add that path to the list of VST folders searched by the plugin manager. Expect a 5.6.1 update pretty quick...
 All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to. My Stuff

Just downloaded the NA today. Won't screw with it till it remembers/knows where your VSTs and libraries are installed.
