Still stings a little that I bought lxp for 320 and never really used it and that there is no discount upgrade from lxp to pcm. Great deal though.

I've been throwing things at the wall since I saw this this morning...

I've been waiting for this to get PCM, and, as always, it comes when I have no money...

Guys,

Left field opinion here for what it's worth.

The lexicon reverbs are sweet. As good as the Valhalla and other stuff is, there is a smoothness in these plugs that blows most of the others away as I compare them. IK CR reverbs, others take a back seat.

The I-Lok for me alone is a deal breaker. Won't go there out of principle no matter how weak the principle is.

There are options that get the intent of the I-Lok strangled lexicon acchievable without the I-Lok crap.

One fine fine candidate is Reverberate. This thing costs about $80 but no dongle ****:

http://www.liquidsonics.com/home.htm

Would like to get feedback on comparrisons, but think you can do anything missing above  and beyond reverb-wise with the liquidsonics convolution engine, and not have to bow to a dongle. Noticed also for what it's worth, the variations on the Lexoion algorythms are rehash on an xml file, so how much original software are you actually getting.

Cclarry, thanks as always for posting new trends. Appreciate you.

John

I'm in your camp John.

I have for algo's - Valhallaroom and Vintageverb and for convo's Reverberate and Reveberate core plus some 3rd party top notch IR's for the convo's.

I really didn't need the Lexicons but G.A.S and Sale was getting to me. Thank God they require iLok and saved me some money. Actually, I think I'm starting to like iLok because it does save me a lot of money... but that's the only reason.

Thanks for the info about x64 VST.

I couldn't find it stated explicitly on the Lexicon website.

Re: Lexicon Half Off at JRR Shop 2014/01/13 09:20:35 (permalink)
Glad to help! :)

They supply two different installers - one for 32bit and one for 64bit rather than a single installer. The email from JRR says to got to the manufacturer site to register, but says nothing about ilok. You have to take it upon yourself to sort out the ilok activation. Not hard, but surprising they don't include the details...

Anyway, looking forward to playing with it tonight!

Hi Bapu,

1. Copy the Lexicon serial number from your JRRShop email.
2. Open up your ilok license manager and choose "Redeem Activation Code" under the Licenses menu.
3. Put the cursor in the first box of the ilok license code and press Ctrl+V to paste your serial.
4. Click the button to accept the code and you should be good to go.

They withhold the activation info so you have time to post a few online reviews before you get distracted by using it.

Great songs forum technique. Demand 25 reviews before posting the song.

I got two emails. The first was a confirmation of order and the 2nd had the license code and a link. I thought it was odd that it was a tinyurl link. I just tried the link again and it took a looong time (about a minute) and the page came up. If you have your license but not the link, let me know and I'll send you the link.
