Do anyone know if the latest version of Sonar will allow direct, live recording from Maschine?  I know prior versions do not.  I want to be able to send 16 outs from maschine to 16 inputs in Sonar and record tracks live as patterns etc. are altered.
Can anyone confirm this?  Tech support has no idea.

Its not possible to do this in the current release but it is coming very soon. You will be able to record synth outputs in real time in an upcoming release.

Track to track routing is a bit of a misnomer. There are multiple parts to this feature that we are working on.
 
1. Track to track routing and bus to track routing
2. Virtual input port recording. Tracks with virtual input ports will be recordable just like tracks with hardware input ports.
Today only synth tracks can have virtual input ports. In this new feature virtual ports will exist for inputs from other tracks and buses as well. These inputs will be recordable as well.
 
 

I see you're underpromising and overdelivering again...so much for "I think maybe we can add simple real-time instrument recording." Bus to track routing would be great for all the multiband processing stuff I do!!
