This will be interesting; it's a pretty well perfect tool as it is.

They said before an announcement would be coming soon. Hopefully they built on it and didn't go screwing everything up. Wonder how much the upgrade will be.

In the past, upgrade pricing has been pretty reasonable. I think my last Editor upgrade (to version 3) was $79.

Essential 4 will be included in Sonar SPLAT 2016. I will hold off any upgrades until I see what the new features are.
sometimes old features that were in the full-er versions creep into the newer lite or basic versions.
I'll hold off.

Still very pricey at $499 to go from Editor 2 to Editor 4, I believe. Guess I will wait a while. Although could go from Editor to studio for a little over $260, still a bit rich for someone who only uses it occasionally.

Almost same here but in Euro from editor 2.0 to 4.0. Seemed reasonable so already purchased, installed and activated.

Apparently upgrading from Melodyne Essential 2 to Essential 4 is free. Edith says: "All users who registered their Melodyne after Nov 1, 2015, get the update to Version 4 free of charge."

It looks like the price to upgrade from Editor 2 to Editor 4 is $99 on the Celemony site. I don't see it elsewhere yet... will wait. I think Melodyne Essential 4 comes with Sonar. Maybe there will be a better price through Cakewalk or JRR but as of just now I didn't see anything at JRR. edit> $50 more to go from Editor 2 to Studio 4... seems a "no brainer". $149. I'm sure it's more than I need but only 50 bucks more.. why not. J

I just upgraded to editor not long ago, and I haven't used it enough to upgrade another version...yet. Plus I just paid for Sonar Platinum 2016. Still it's always good to see things moving along.

Editor (any version) to Studio 4 is the same price, $149, as Studio 3 to Studio 4... I like that since I have Editor 2.
