Watched the video, notice they only show it being used as a plug in Ableton.

I've watched it several times, but I am not seeing anything earth shattering in the clip.  I am always interested in song writing tools, so hopefully it will be useful to my way of working.

I "teaser" would normally let you speculate on what the possibilities are.  I've got absolutely nothin'.

The video was sooooo strange and a bit Cryptic.   I thought I saw some of "Ableton Live" in the video???

I couldn't make anything else out because the focus kept shifting with the slides.   I guess that was done to keep us wondering.

Peace,

I'm guessing it's a way to capture song ideas on the go. Maybe hum some parts, export to DAW of choice and maybe melodyne it into a song (probably a crappy hip-hop song... But it's a start)

I got an email with this from Alex:

>>

We've been busy this year cooking up a new platform that we hope you'll find to be a great tool for songwriting, and a perfect companion for SONAR (or any other DAW you're using).

The platform is called Momentum, and we have a little teaser page set up, so you can get a taste and stay in the loop with us. Please take a quick look!

Not my bold lettering. Just as I copy/pasted from email.

Seems to be a mobile app for logging creative ideas while you're out and about, then integrating them into your DAW when you're back at the studio . . . if so, it's amazing futuristic forethought from Cakewalk . . . might even be the only reason I have ever seen to get one of those phone thingies, sure could have used this a few days ago, had a great song idea, now it's mostly gone.

Cakewalk by Bandlab, Cubase, RME Babyface Pro, Intel i7 3770K @3.5Ghz, Asus P8Z77-VPro/Thunderbolt, 32GB DDR3 RAM, GeForce GTX 660 Ti, 250 GB OS SSD, 2TB HDD samples, Win 10 Pro 64 bit, backed up by Macrium Reflect, Novation Impulse 61 Midi Key Controller, Tannoy Active Near Field Monitors, Guitars by Vantage, Gibson, Yamaki and Ovation.
