John,
I obviously put you in a defensive position. I'm sorry.

The alloys used for strings is graded. One can compare if they want to know and
the facts of alloys used and the reasoning is easy to find.

I believe, even with the alloys considered, that the biggest determining factor of
wear is due to the player. Not only the style but also in how the instrument is treated.

Splitting hairs is not something I care to be part of and when my opinion puts another
in a defensive position then I'd rather drop it. There's nothing to gain - the particulars
can be experienced and each can make their own determination of what works out for them.

With that said....good luck Rain.

No worries, I wasn't taken aback. Just didn't want to confuse people and have them hunting for something I've never seen.

Regards, John
