Shad, my left bollock is called 'Plummy'.

That fact is well known round these parts.

My right knacker is called DKFH (DumbKidFromHell), but recent events have made me seriously consider changing that by deed poll to 'John'

While His Royal Smartypantsness is correct that Little Johns come from Biggererer Johns, he did not explain how this occurs.  While I am not as Pointy as Sir Wibble, I will attempt, in my humble manner, to explain the WAYS OF SCIENCE.

Biggererer Johns exist in a serene, perfect environment filled with blissful Yes fairies (No relation to the band) who do nothing all day long but agree with the Biggererer Johns.  (Ok, there is a striking similarity, but most experts consider it to be accidental.)  There is no room for dissent or dischord within this unique and powder blue variant of (un)Reality.

Unfortunately, there are other places beyond the borders of this land where dark and evil forces lurk.  Bereft of the sheer magnificence of "Johnness", the poor deluded brainless clods bumble through their useless lives.  On occasion, one of the Biggererer Johns will deign to visit their filthy, infested, hovel known as the "Upstairs".  Out of extreme and undeserved kindness, he will attempt to squeeze the tiniest of Correct thoughts into their insignificant, ugly, and empty brains.  Oddly enough, some will not fully appreciate being Corrected.

Such benevolence may come at a cost, however.  Due to the inhospitable, unhygenic, and icky conditions, Biggererer Johns are prone to infection.  This infectious disease, sometimes referred to as, "an Original Thought" is potentially fatal to the Biggererer John.  When stricken with this vile and detestable illness, a Biggererer John will wander aimlessly.  Sometimes, they have even been know to venture into the ugliest, most disgusting, horrific, nightmarish, abominable, festering, pus-oozing, vomitous, miasma ever to haunt the fevered screams of the most psychotic lunatics imaginable: the Coffee House.  Yes.  "That Place."

If left untreated, the Biggererer John is forced to contain and seal off the infection in order to survive.  The sickness spreads quickly, devouring everything it can reach, until it runs out of food.  If the Biggererer John is successful in containing the damage, the Biggererer John will survive.  The diseased portion is dissonant, out of harmony with its host.  As it grows, the dissonance becomes impossible to tolerate, and the Biggererer John expunges the Little John from itself.

Yes fairies (I'm not saying they all look like Jon Anderson, but there is a definate resemblance) carry the Little John up and away from the putrid stench of lesser beings.  It will be raised in a place of wonder, uniformity, and devoted adherence to the Correct view of Things.

And that is where Little Johns come from.

I find UB's writing style reminds me of one of my favorite authors, "Spider Robinson". His writing often left my side hurting from laughter too.

Hey, the Science speaks for itself...

Thanks for your comments.  (Does it say something about me that I had to stop to consider whether or not they were said with mocking sarcasm?)  :)

I started a novel several years ago.  Every few years, I pick it back up, go back to the beginning and change things, add a little more, and then put it away.  I keep telling myself that I'll finish it someday, but I'm beginning to think I may have fooled myself.  (That happens rather more frequently than I'd like to admit...)

I have a question:

How come they don't keep the vowels all together at one end of the alphabet of the other? Wouldn't it make more sense that way?

In order, then, to discover the limit of deepest tones, it is necessary not only to produce very violent agitations in the air but to give these the form of simple pendular vibrations. - Hermann von Helmholtz, predicting the role of the electric bassist in 1877.

Enjoyable read. Not too many thoughts/concepts I have not heard in one form or another over the years. The one 'AHA' I took from it was the point about affirmations. Affirmations are not new to me, but this was a take I'd not heard before. Thanks for sharing.

No it wouldn't.

The reason being is that the alphabet would no longer be in alphabetical order.
