Can someone explain what the link to the Group buy "serial" a dounloadsoundz is and how is it related to the "bundles" in the bundles area?

I'm waiting to down load because I have to go into town to get high speed... so I don't want to click around just to look whats at the end of the link until I get off the phone line.

Thanks,
mike

Mike,

That is the link to get the Infinite Player (or the optional jazz drum kit).

Now that's borderline worrisome to african americans and cajuns there Bapu, ol pal.  Ya might wanna back away from the keyboard...;-)

But I've got a question, how come all my downloads are noticeably smaller than the stated size on esoundz download page??  Riddle me that.

Do I really need to install Kontakt Player before Infinite Player. I have Kontakt 3.5 installed and will be installing the v4 upgrade next week.

I don't think I installed the "player"

Do I really need to?

thanks,
mike

Mike,

You do not need to install KP if you have a full blown Kontakt 3.5 or higher.

Best regards,
Don

In fact K4 won't let you install any earlier version of Kontakt player.  I tried.  Twice.  But I'm a numbskull :-)

I don't have an answer to the riddle but there are a couple of posts on the issue by "bambam" and BERFAB" on the KVR Audio Forums Drum Masters & OWD Community Support Thread - no response so far.

OK, I know there's a 5 or 6 mile long thread over at KVR that's probably got lots of answers about the UDGB but here's just a couple of quick questions some of you might already know the anwer to.  First when I load up the Ocean Way Kits into Kontakt 4 it, at first, throws up the missing file dialog and says that 1 file (which is a gui file) is missing.  If I "skip" that it loads up with sort of blank looking guis for each kit piece.  They all sound fine (but there's some sketchyness in a couple of the guis...There's a kick for instance that doesn't show it's volume although it plays fine, etc...)  I think that Squids and the gang are going to put up sort of a "Master Bug Fix" patch later on, is that right?  Where's everybody else on this thing? I've got the odd grooves, the piano and all the OceanWay kits.  Is that it for now?

myolpal,

Squids said the GUI problem had to wait until this week when 'that guy' came off vacation.

There should be a bug fix when they get it all sorted out (volume etc).

I only see the OW Kits (13 of 'em), the odd grooves and the piano too. I suspect the Drumsworks stuff is being worked.  I'm sure we'll be told when they are done. These gus have always ben reputable (need I point out, I did not say fast).

I was on a group buy earlier last year and all told, it seemed like it was 3 weeks before everything that was promised was up and available for down load.

Oh I think they're a swell bunch of eggs!  I've had nothin but great dealings with em.  I'm sure they'll get it all worked out.  Plus, it's pretty tough to complain when you're gettin all the stuff we're gettin for a measley 99 bucks.

Ed, I have all the files now (that they are allowing us), but they doing it in 3 phases/stages.. it's what 27 * 600-800 PER kit.. it must be knocking the *cough* outta their band width..

I D/L'd last night off peak and it was over 7gb ALREADY.

so they doing adding more I hope, I've downloaded em all , but only a few are ticked.. dunno why.

they are gonna offer us the rest of the varitions of  kits again later in another GB. how many OW kits are there? hehe

but I do like getting what I paid for at the agreed time.. you should see the email I sent to some non-sender on a certain auction site.hehe

Yea Fog, ol pal, about half of the kits I downloaded didn't get "ticked" either.  Probably means nothing as all my old group buy and individual downloads from the last two years still show up and are active.  I honestly didn't know what all extra we'd be getting (like the piano) are we still getting the "hybrid kits" or whatever they are?

the piano..it was just a "thank you for your patience" gift..  I would have rather they gave us a few credits at the shoppe , as if I get any more yamaha's i'll  have to get a sign over the door.

hybrid thing, hhm maybe 2nd or 3rd instalment , will have to wait n see. wonder how much pt 2 for ALL the versions of the kits.. thats 27 * 3 * silly Gig's...

I'd like to get EVERYTHING , and then install

I found some info about this at the three-and-a-half mile mark of this thread (page 2 at time of writing) under the heading GUI and Patch Updates. The issue is resolved by removing two files from the Infinite Player folder and replacing them with files in the zip that has a link embedded in the thread. Seems to work fine now.

PS Tried to directly embed the link to the zip mentioned above into this message but was unable to do so for some unknown reason (probably my own incompetence)

Is there an offer on the table (besides the free 150 ODD grooves)?
I've not seen that.

I'm too lazy to read the (now 8 or 9 mile) threads at KVR.

ya  might as well start now.. as it's in 3 phases they are doing it (3 lots of 11 or whatever)

and well it's 8 gb so far.. dunno if your net provider will get a bit miffed downloading so much at once.. if I did that , mine would go ape ...

you can also buy them on dvd, instead of downloading em.. ermm and they said they were doing the other variants in another GB soon.

Yea, got em.  Quick question:  do you also drag your "odd grooves" over to the Infinite Player to install OR just unzip them and put them into the folder of your choice?
