Couldn't have put it better myself mate.

Only one moan.... from what they were on about earlier, and the footage of the flame coming up the Thames, are we to believe that the well known Olympian David Beckham is lighting the beacon? Very poor form if he is

Best bit so far was Her Maj turning round to Daniel Craig and saying "Good evening Mr Bond"

There's a good dose of humour yeah, but the choreography is just astonishing. The segment where rural Britain changes to the Industrial Revolution was just gobsmacking.

Amazing ceremony. Feeling very proud to be British tonight. Danny Boyle is mosdef a lefty lovey and it showed in parts. Did anyone notice the dancers in the 'British popular music of the decades' section form themselves briefly into the CND symbol. Crafty bugger.

I think Ispotted a bit of the movie "If" which was a bit controversial.

Loved it apart from McCartney- he really needs to put it away and give someone esle a go. Not his fault I suppose- he must have been invited but there are more worthy performersd in the UK today to put the cherry on top.

    Just finished watching it.
Man, I love the way the cauldron came together.
Theme, concept, execution. That was art.
Unity, if only for a moment.
Never mind my British roots. That ceremony made me proud to be a citizen of earth.
My hat's off to Mr. Boyle, and all involved in making it happen.

Just finished watching. Well done. After the incredible China presentation 4-years back, I did not envy England's challenge, but it was done brilliantly. Go ahead and be proud. You earned it.
