Okay, so I'm bumping our tune, but I wanted to say a few words about my good friend, Bapu, whose modesty is shining thru in the quoted post.
 
Just about a year ago I posted my first song here, and got a PM from Ed offering to add a bass part to it.  I accepted his generous offer, and thus began a great friendship.  I visited him on a trip to the west coast, and in just one more day he'll be here in Commack for a visit.
 
With regard to Rough Patch, Ed not only contributed his usual superb performance, but endured suffered thru became a sounding board for ideas as I turned Rough Patch from an idea into a completed song.  His feedback was invaluable.  Then, as I noted in the OP, as Scotty, Tony and Danny all pitched in, he re-did his bass part maybe 5 or 6 times becuase HE wasn't happy with it.
 
So, I just wanted to set the record straight about his "small part" in the song.
 
What a guy!
