That's pretty cool that you wrote that song in your sleep. I've done that before. Although what I heard in my dream is usually more of a feeling of a song than an actual full song. sometimes I remember what I hear, sometimes I don't.

I would have liked to hear more variety in the rhythm parts instead of going between the same three chords the whole time. But then again I'm not a big fan of the Joe Satrianis of the world... I think rhythm comes first, solos come second. :) that's just me.

That was an awesome song. I love the way it had the different levels
of tempo, breaks, and feel. I don't know if it is one of your originals
or not, but it was a great listen all the way through.

Hi SonicClang,

Thanks for taking the time to watch my video. You may be suprised by this but I agree with you. My other music goes beyond the 3 chord 1,4,5 stuff. The main purpose of this song was to recorded the song I played in my dream, And thats it note for note. I am more of an acoustic player thanan electric one, but when I woke up I just had to record the song. I am not really a joe satriani type player, but thanks for the complement. My other chord progressions are much more detailed and arranged beyond the 3 chord format.

When I get some time I will check out your videos. Thanks again for watching mine

Highest Regards

We recorded the song using Sonar 5PE

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdArXhYfSLQ

Check out also our songs recorded on our home studio using sonar 5PE we did not use a mixer on the drums we just directly plugged it from the soundcard and post edit it on sonar5 coz we cant afford to buy equipments, but anyway what counts is the music we made.

Some of my fans have been bugging me for a while to make a video of the drums for this song. It's another one from the mod I was a part of a couple years ago. This song is really popular, so I'm just kind of riding this wave as long as I can.

SonicClang,
You're the best guitar player that I've ever seen play the drums like that OR the best drummer that can play the guitar the way you do... Which is your main instrument? Do you do perfer playing one over the other? Sounds great...

Well thanks for that! WOW! I've always considered myself to be a guitarist who happens to be able to play the drums. I learned guitar first, and it really is my first love. I tried playing drums in a band last year and my heart wasn't in it. I'm a song writer, and I want to be playing the melodies and singing harmonies. But in the studio I love playing both.

I recorded my client using Sonar 5 Producer Edition and nothing else. Here is a link to the youtube video showing off the final production:

http://www.youtube.com/successforhispanics

It's not your usual music piece, but it does show how amazing Sonar 5 Producer Edition (and I am sure 6 and 7) is and how easily it can be used to do voice over and vocal work.

OK, I've only just turned 12 and am very new to the Cakewalk scene. This is my first attempt and it took a little while to get up to speed with how everything works together - it's my grandpa's stuff but I did everything myself. I sing with my own playing. It was all done with me on a MIDI keyboard (Yamaha EX5). Anyways, here's the link: http://youtube.com/watch?v=a5SpCmjymcA

Here's my latest video. This is the theme song to the mod my team made a couple years ago. It's actually an original song I made, using Sonar of course. Some people thought the drums in my last video were hard, but I'm telling you, these are difficult! These are about 90% technical and 10% feeling.

Yeah I realized after I did the video that I wore the same shirt :) I think it's confusing a few people. From now on I'll make sure to wear different clothes.

[Another bump]

Found this thread floundering on page 10. Can we have it re-stickified? Or maybe could we get it move to the "Songs" forum where it wouldn't vanish so quickly? I love these vids!!

Hi, everybody. Just in time for International Talk Like a Pirate Day, we've posted a new video for "Blackbeard, Bluebeard and Redbeard", recorded with Sonar 6.

Here's the direct link for the video on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exads7KV-Y0

If you like it, please add a comment and rate it and let your friends know about it. We're hoping to get as much visibility as we can for the video around the holiday, and every comment and rating helps.

Best regards,
Eric
