Just my luck, I opened CCC just as you did the release, I guess.

What you see may depend on the packages you own:

No, but my set looks like this: It's a very large download, I'm at 44% with about 4GB downloaded, so maybe 10GB in data.

I believe the list in msg #4 are new installers for previously purchased expansion packs. The list in msg #7 are the packages bundled with RPro.

Very disappointed we don't have custom control of prog files, I'm not sure whether we can move file paths around in the settings.... Regardless I bought it, I hope the situation can be addressed in the next service pack. Downloading 45% and counting..

Here is the first issue... My VST 3 folder path is away from: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3 Yet Rapture Pro installed it there by default, no option was given otherwise (only for VST 2)... Hopefully a manual move will work.

Next problem... Still at "Installing Legacy Content Pack Vol 2" for 15 mins now... It's probably still installing but how can I tell without any sort of progress bar just something that whirls around like a cylon helmet

If you moved it away from the default location, you'll probably have issues with all installers that install vst3's. AFAIK, that is the default location for windows 64bit according to the vst3 specs.

I can think of very few (if any) installers that give you control on where to store VST3 versions. So, I find it odd that yours is not there.

Well Cakewalk allowed me to change the VST 3 path I believe...! Anyway "Legacy Content Pack Vol 2" is still installing, CPU is maxing out for some reason... not good... And now I notice a load of samples are being dumped in the root of the multisamples folder...

If you elected to install the samples somewhere else, check whether those folders actually have anything in them or not. Haven't installed RP yet but when I reinstalled Dim Pro and sent the multisamples elsewhere, there was still an empty multisamples folder in the default location.

The original Rapture also places quite a few samples in the Mutlsample root. Those look like the same samples.

Noel would have the definitive answer, but I think that is the "Steinberg really really really recommends this location very strongly" location and not part of the spec. I've noticed a lot more companies are deciding on using the Common Files for this kind of thing instead of the "C:\users\abusers\documents\things and stuff\roaming\stationary\in transit\hidden secret stuff" folder.

Exactly right - I wish they cleaned it up. I'm still installing the "legacy content pack vol 2" - 45 mins now - impossible to tell if it's working or not... not much hard drive activity and the folders don't seem to be getting any larger, and no progress bar either - it's a guessing game.. Update - killed it - starting again...

I have completed the install of RP and prior to doing so checked the amount of storage on my hard drive. I elected to have the multisamples installed on an external drive and not on my C:\ drive. However, after the install my computer hard drive is down 10 gb. The folder where I chose to install the multisamples (on my external drive) is 13.7 gb. Not sure why my hard drive would be down that much. Anyone else notice this? Is this normal?

If you used the Command Center and have not changed the default download path on the Settings page, the installers are on the C drive in "C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Command Center\Downloads."

Perfect. Thanks - I assume I can clear that folder since it's already been installed?

Yes, the installers may be deleted or moved. You can also change the download path in C3 to use a different drive for installer caching. Click the gear in the upper right of the C3 UI for the setting page.

If we already have DimPro and the previous Rapture (with Expansions) loaded, do we need to download them anew for Rapture Pro first install, or will Rapture Pro find the previously installed multisamples? My download speed is so slow it may take days to do the complete; so I hope I can just download the new content.

Is your internet connection prone to drops in service? What's the speed? I measure mine using this site: http://www.speedtest.net/ Is it possible that yours was disconnected mid install? -DG

The use of "directory junctions" would be a fast and painless way to fix that ... move whatever you want to move and then create a link using "mklink /J" ... type "mklink /?" for info @ cmd prompt ...

Holy sweet mother of ballyhoo, this thing takes a long time to install. It told me it was done ages ago so I fired it up and got a few things to play, but then it started unpacking the libraries and putting them heaven knows where. I think I'll have a few days work tracking it all down and figuring out how much duplicate data there is and how much of it can be deleted. Some nice sounds from what I heard so far, some others seem very strange and I assume it's because the multisamples weren't all set up in their right places yet. The interface looks great and quite functional / logically laid out

I appreciate the suggestion, I've heard it before, but I can't believe we are still supposed to revert to old skool hacks in this brand spanking new version... Very disappointing..
