Reward Points. - A thing of the past.
< edit: OK, they figured out how we were gonna abuse them and they were removed.> ====================================================== Any suggestions on how we get them and what they can be redeemed for? Mine: We earn them by helping out another member see that it's our way or the highway. Good for 1 point. We redeem the points by allowing us to delete any user we want when we get, say, like, 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 points (that's in US, I don't even want to figure pounds or euros). Next? OK, serioulsy, anyone see apoint system like this anywhere else? How would it apply here?

bapu OK, serioulsy, anyone see apoint system like this anywhere else? How would it apply here? I've seen something like this in another forum I frequent, but there, it's called Reputation Power. There is a little icon under the forum member's name that a member can click on to add to that members Rep Power points. However, I don't see anything like that in this new forum look, so I don't know how we get Reward points here. It is a good question. I'm wondering how Reward points are acquired, too.

Another forum that has a similar system is the Adobe forums. The OP gets to label 2 answers as being "helpful" (worth 5 points) and 1 "correct answer" (worth 10 points). The thread is then automatically marked as answered which makes finding the right answer easy.

I'm only interested in the reward points if they are redeemable for CASH or musical merchandise..... and maybe Sam Adams Lager.

I do miss him at times (he sang Oh My Papa and did 4 animal imitations:cat, puppy, rooster & cow amongst a host of other amusing things). The downside was he could screech when he wasn't getting attention (I must've got it from him). Today, having pets no longer fits my life style.

Ok. Say that CW Admins enable the Reward Points. How long before someone figures a way to artificially inflate the numbers?

Hi Doc- Doc_Hollingsworth Ok. Say that CW Admins enable the Reward Points. How long before someone figures a way to artificially inflate the numbers? If they do implement this, I hope it's better than what they tried a few years ago. That quickly devolved into a joke! -Susan

I can see Rep points on a Slickdeal, for example , where the OP provides a link to a 1TB drive for $35 and gets "repped" for that, and I suppose upstairs where a respondent helps out with a config or crashing problem.. But I hope in a way, it doesn't get turned on, for obvious easons. I remember Bens Bargains, was giving away nice prizes to posters who posted "valid" posts (ohh boy I noticed,(too many uses of the word post ??) you should have read the responses....
